High Tides announce new album ‘Paradise Daze’ on Rad Cult

High Tides create gorgeous spells to burn down the nearest beach club. Chopped and screwed surf music. Psychedelic pop to drown your eardrums while a strange riptide drags you under. If Boards of Canada sipped a Sex on the Beach spiked with codeine, you might get something vaguely similar to Paradise Daze, the sophomore album from High Tides, sun-warped champions of yacht rot. The new album is out March 8th on TOBACCO’s Rad Cult label, and today the new track “Swaying Palms” is out to try to usher in an early spring. LA Rapper Charles X Releases Video for “Prozac” – EID2 Out March 1st!

Following up the premiere of the explosive single “Prozac” on HipHopDX, LA Rapper Charles X is now releasing a new video for the track. The video has a slice-of-life vibe with subtle but dynamic animations acting as stingers on X’s energetic personality. He explains, “‘Prozac’ is to show my animal side. Sometimes people mistake me as a punk because I smile or think I’m famous because of my press. This song let’s me show a piece of who I really am… or could be. I love to sing but sometimes you just want to give a lot of energy only channeled through rap.”

With his new full-length Goes West just two days away from release, William Tyler has shared the first proper music video from the album. “Fail Safe” was shot last month in California farm country by filmmaker Elise Tyler, William’s sister and frequent collaborator, and captures the guitarist and composer as he performs for a growing crowd of line dancers at a local roadhouse, shuffling and waltzing in harmony.
