Rock-Reggae Fusion band, Higher Education, is made up of brothers, Petey and Danny Devaney on the guitars, bass and vocals, and Bradley Wilson on drums. Recently, the power trio added Chris Haddad Since 2010, they’ve independently released four studio albums, Chasing Highs, Would You Like Fries With That, The Ballad of Alexander Henry, and Gift Called Life. “Leaky Basement” is the band’s second music video release from 2018’s “Gift Called Life”. Arriving with a cutting edge sound reinforced by deep lyrics, the single serves as a perfect follow to the upbeat happy release of the “Gift Called Life” single.

The LA-based band of Jacob Duzsik, John Famiglietti, and Benjamin Miller also announced European tour dates supporting The Neighbourhood on an eleven date run, including a show at Brixton Academy on January, 30th. HEALTH recently performed at Chicago’s Riot Fest and will perform next at LA’s Cloak & Dagger Festival on November 10th.

SECRET CHORD RELEASES MUSIC VIDEO FOR THEIR NEW SONG “WRAITH OF OBLIVION”

Little more than a year after releasing their debut EP “Dimensions Of A Dream”, Secret Chord astonish their fans with a brand new song. “Wraith Of Oblivion” is the title of their most recent composition, revealed last September 8th. The new song’s music video, already available on YouTube, was recorded by Marta Malva in Tentúgal (Coimbra) and Amieira (Soure) and directed and produced by Bruno Vale (PubliTV). The recording, mixing and masterization was done by João Dourado at Golden Jack Studios, in Coimbra.

Coldplay have announced a new film, A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS, which throws the doors wide open on their colorful 20 year history. Puerto Rican thrashing outfit Calamity originally started off as a Metallica cover band under the moniker Silent Scream in 2009 and soon after having own materials, they decided to continue under the name of Hush. Hush had their first gig on the local scene in 2010. After opening for Skeletonwitch in Puerto Rico, the band decided to adapt a full thrash metal style, rooted in the sonic aesthetics of both old school overlords and modern revival acts. In 2014, months before releasing their first EP, Let em’ burn, Hush changed their name to Calamity to have a better representation of their newly converted musical route.

“Dyin’ Tonight,” an original song performed by Robby Takac of Goo Goo Dolls fame for the upcoming horror film Johnny Gruesome, has been released by Funhouse Productions and is available for purchase on major music platforms ahead of the film’s October 16th VOD release. Takac co-wrote the song with Armand John Petri and Joe Rozler, and recorded it at his GCR Studios in Buffalo, New York.

Madame Gandhi Premieres “Bad Habits” Single

Today Los Angeles-based drummer, solo artist, and fourth-wave feminist Madame Gandhi premieres her new single, “Bad Habits.” Inspired by Fela Kuti, “Bad Habits” is a joyous electronic Afrobeat song being released to coincide with Felabration, co-produced by Zach Witness (producer of Erykah Badu’s latest album, But You Caint Use My Phone). In it, the former drummer for M.I.A. sings over a funky, staccato beat about overcoming one’s negative tendencies: “I’ve been so pressed that I don’t even know/What’s botherin’ me.” At its core it is an inspirational call to action, “Thinking about how I can be so much better/Thinking about all the tears I’ve cried.” The song also features African-influenced guitar, congas, cowbells and keyboards that build to a rapturous crescendo.
