Newcomer MAISØN makes his stunning debut on Armada Chill with “Under My Clothes,” delivering tropical vibes and a hint of melancholy that perfectly encapsulates the end of summer. Through its breezy, organic melodies and lush vocals by MAJRO, “Under My Clothes” conjures images of sun-drenched, hazy days and endless sultry nights with someone special, with the underlying knowledge that nothing gold can stay. The track’s title phrase is meant to be both literal and metaphorical, according to MAISØN. “The lyrics are about an addiction as everyone is addicted to something. That’s why I think a lot of people will find them meaningful,” the Swedish producer says. He hopes to unite audiences under the shadow that addiction – whether to substances or love – casts on so many people.

Juiceboxxx Shares “Ripping Up My Soul” Track

Milwaukee enigma JUICEBOXXX has released the lead single from his forthcoming EP, out next week via Dangerbird Records. ‘Ripping Up My Soul’ is a rock and roll appraisal of a rock and roll lifestyle. “This song is about subculture as a weird spiritual surrogate, and trying to navigate a life after years of rock and roll damage,” says the man himself. “Coming to grips with this force that has both given your life meaning but also made it deeply confusing. Sometimes I feel trapped in the basement, the dive bar, the warehouse, whatever… There is a punk rock version of “Catholic guilt” and I don’t really know how to process it. Some people end up dying. But I continue write songs. And try to take it one day at a time.”

Song: Flippa – “Been Through It”

Flippa’s gruff demeanor, realist lyrics, and dexterous flow sets him apart in the crowded ATL trap game. Reflecting on his past trials and tribulations, Flippa proves that he’s no rookie in the rap game on “Been Through It.” Ferociously attacking a haunting and minimal instrumental, marked by eerie church organ and subterranean bass, Flippa recounts the things he’s seen and the things he’s prepared to do to keep his lofty perch in the hood. “Been Through It” is the second single from Up To Something, the rapper’s upcoming mixtape, following the spacey and triumphant “Don’t Play Me.” Up To Something hits all DSPs on September 14th.
