Party Nails is the moniker of Los Angeles based musician Elana Belle Carroll. She is a prolific songwriter, producer, singer and guitarist hailing from Chatham, New York. Somewhere between pop, alternative and electronic, with a slight nod to punk, her work has been called “an absolute dream” – Neon Gold, “a fierce bit of pop” – Noisey and “part Charli XCX and part Cyndi Lauper” – Bullett Media. Options is the solo project of Chicago based multi-instrumentalist and producer Seth Engel. As Options, Engel writes, records, and mixes each release by himself; a solitary effort that stands in stark contrast to his frequent musical collaborations in the Chicago community. As an engineer, Engel has recorded dozens of Chicago’s most active artists, and was instrumental in recording formative earlyworks for nationally recognized acts like Ratboys, Pinegrove, C.H.E.W., and Nnamdi Ogbonnaya. As a musician, Engel has played the role of guitarist, drummer, vocalist, and contributing songwriter in projects like Coaster, Great Deceivers, Pyramid Scheme, and Lifted Bells (ft. Bob Nanna). These projects have been covered in outlets like Billboard, The AV Club, Consequence of Sound, New Noise Magazine, Brooklyn Vegan, and others. Engel is also the longtime collaborator and primary touring drummer of Chicago artist Nnamdi Ogbonnaya. With all of these acts, Engel has criss-crossed the basement, venue, and festival circuits of the USA and Canada several times over.

SiriusXM Plans World Premiere of Michael Martin Murphey’s “Geronimo’s Cadillac”

SiriusXM Radio has announced plans to present the World Premiere of “Geronimo’s Cadillac,” a track from Michael Martin Murphey’s forthcoming album, Austinology • Alleys of Austin, on Friday, July 27, at 6:00 p.m. ET.

The new recording features Murphey trading vocals on the iconic song with his special guest, Steve Earle. “Geronimo’s Cadillac is a record I know every second of,” said Earle. “It was based on country music, it had a steel guitar, but it really was progressive.”

Mojo Nixon will premiere the track during his show, The Loon In The Afternoon, which airs Fridays on The Outlaw Channel (Channel 60) from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET

Penske Media Corporation (PMC) is making a strategic investment in BuzzAngle Music, the company announced today.
