TRU Signee Skooly Recruits Lil Xan for “Crazy Shit” Single

Pioneering an eccentric and melodic approach to the ATL sound, Skooly built a rabid fanbase in his home city with his infectious tracks. Turning up the energy level with a new banger, Skooly shares “Crazy Shit,” a new single. Premiered by COMPLEX, who praised the track saying “Skooly flexes his flow, easily finding the pocket in the punctuated, bouncy beat,” “Crazy Shit” is a minimalist and raucous track, featuring snapping snares and a menacing piano line courtesy of producer Two-17. Boasting an irreverent verse from rising rapper Lil Xan, “Crazy Shit” is a prime document of Skooly’s unique microphone presence and his ability to craft an indelible hook. “Crazy Shit” is the first single from Don’t You Ever Forget Me Vol. 3, the grand finale of his 2018 EP trilogy. Following up the successful Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, Don’t You Ever Forget Me Vol. 3 details the final stages of Skooly stepping out from the spotlight of his previous projects and the artists he’s influenced to become a major artist in the ATL scene.

Everybody Live For The Music-Go-Round

Music is an extremely powerful art. It can take the listener on a whirlwind trip down memory lane to where they were when they first heard it, the experience they had while hearing the track live or even a person that the lyrics remind them of. Sometimes that nostalgia takes you back childhood and brings up memories of a much simpler time. That was one of the inspirations behind the choice for The Anchor’s brand new cover of the 80’s pop hit, “Kids in America,” that was made popular to 90’s kids who were exposed to the song from both Digimon and Jimmy Neutron.
