Andrew Bayer announces new album, releases video for esoteric indie-electronica track ‘Immortal Lover’

Grammy nominated through his production work with Above & Beyond, D.C. Native Andrew Bayer has released a new video for ‘’Immortal Love’ (featuring folk-rock singer Alison May) to announce new album In My Last Life (released August 24)

The track owes very little to the dancefloor that Andrew is often associated with – instead drawing its inspirations from influences as far and wide as Kate Bush, Atoms Of Peace, Aphex Twin and Talk Talk. The new visuals for the track are a hypnotic, contorting expression of connection between two people.

HAAi announces debut full length EP

Speaking about the EP, HAAi says: “This EP was made after I realised that what inspired me most was to combine my love of electronic music with the music I enjoy outside of the club. I decided to collaborate with friends from a couple of my favourite bands, including Fay Milton (Savages) who provides live drums on Motorik Bush Doof Musik and Taigen Kawabe (Bo Ningen) who performs on I Never Cared That Much For Jungle. For me, having live instrumentation on the EP adds an extra depth to the tracks & has given me a vision of how to I’d like future releases to sound.

Berlin’s Ay Wing soundtracks the heatwave with new pop pearl ‘Ice Cream Dream’

Rapidly becoming known for releasing videos as colourful and whip-smart as her songs, Ay Wing’s brilliant promo for ‘Strange’ caused an online stir when unveiled this spring. The Berlin-based pop polymath has followed it with perhaps an even more memorable accompaniment to ‘Ice Cream Dream’, the title track of her EP, which pokes a little fun at the expense of contemporary fitness fads and the seriousness with which we now seem to take our leisure time. As hapless retro gym-goers contort and sweat in technicolour, what appears to be a tribute to the humble ice cream evolves into something of a more comically sensual (and, at times, downright sleazy) nature.

The Viable – ‘Safety Man’ Single & Video

Garage rock band The Viable have released the lead single Safety Man from their latest album Seed.

The Viable’s single Safety Man is for all those hard-working people who have dealt with work place bureaucracy gone mad and want to shout about it! The lyrics express an addictive truth along with strong rock sounds and attitude that will get in the head of any lover of rock.

J.F.K ‘Feel It Again’

Meant to be played loud and belted out with a certain confidence and braggadocio, ‘FEEL IT AGAIN’ from Perth rock band J.F.K is the perfect antidote to anything sweet or playing it safe.

‘He only likes me when I’m there, you know I really shouldn’t care,’ Knox sings, giving ‘Feel It Again’ a slight contemplative edge, even when the music is rollicking through some insatiable, banging melodies and hooks. From the onset, frenetic guitar riffs take the reins, while lead vocalist James Knox charges forth with an urgency similar to the likes of Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist (The Hives), Elliott Hammond (The Delta Riggs) and James Bagshaw (Temples).

KOBRA AND THE LOTUS Streaming New Video For “Velvet Roses”

Last week the band released a new music video for their new song “Velvet Roses”. In less than a week the video has over 60,000 views and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Video shows around the country have been adding and featuring ‘Velvet Roses’ heavily as well!

“Our new music vid for ‘Velvet Roses’ is out and we couldn’t be more stoked! This is, across the board, one of the band’s most favorite vids we’ve ever made. High impact, pure rock adrenaline packed with our sense of humor. In a world so full of sh*t, it feels great to not take everything so seriously and let the moment run wild. I hope we inflict some serious smilage!” says Kobra.

Alternative / Electronic Duo FITNESS Release New Single “In The Clear”

“’In the Clear’ is about imagining something or someone who’s ‘got it all figured out,’ who knows it’s possible for you to overcome your demons even when you feel hopeless,” vocalist Max Collins explains. “Ultimately that something or someone is you or your better nature. Anthropomorphizing that feeling into a separate entity is something I do to find strength when I don’t feel like I have it.”
