Nick Offerman shares ‘Hearts Beat Loud’ Spotify Playlist

Chosen as the Closing Night Film of the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, music-themed crowd-pleaser Hearts Beat Loud, directed by Brett Haley (The Hero, I’ll See You in My Dreams), comes to theaters June 8th. Set in Red Hook, Brooklyn, the film follows a father played by Nick Offerman (Parks & Recreation, Fargo) and daughter played by Kiersey Clemons (Dope, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising) who become an unexpected songwriting duo during the summer she is to leave for college. A charming story of independence, purpose and fatherly love, Hearts Beat Loud thrilled audiences and critics alike at Sundance. Gunpowder & Sky is releasing the film on June 8th, 2018, and have released the new theatrical trailer on April 10th.

Cherry Pools Releases New Music Video And Song “All the Way”

Alternative band Cherry Pools released a California-inspired music video for their new track, “All The Way,” today via Weekday Records/Sony Music. It premiered exclusively on Alternative Press this morning. In the Dan Cicco-directed music video, the quartet plays in the Pacific Ocean, cruises down Sunset Boulevard and peeks out over Griffith Observatory while lead singer Martin Broda sings of love and lust in the City of Angels over a pulsating synth and subtle guitar riff.

The duo’s 9 – track album was inspired by Nils’ (Production) desire to make an album of music that was danceable, but not married to that premise alone. He let the music guide them and take the album where it naturally wanted to go. Meanwhile vocalist and lyricist, Carrie Turner, lent her thoughts on the glamor that surrounds life and sex in NYC to give “Saturation” a certain intimacy that is sometimes lacking in electronic music.
