Dirty Audio Goes Hard with New Single “Racks”. Out on Monstercat
Dirty Audio has unleashed his latest original track in the form of “Racks” on Monstercat, and it’s exactly the type of in-your-face, massive joyride that we have come to know and love from him. “Racks” wastes no time turning up the heat, opening with a menacing bassline layered under increasingly aggressive percussion. The drop will shake your sneakers with its stabbing synths and intense bass, accomplishing Dirty’s mission of always making hard-hitting dance tracks that make crowds go crazy around the globe. Though “Racks” is Dirty’s first original track of 2018, he released his remix of DJ Snake’s “A Different Way” back in January, which was full of his signature dramatic bass and wobbling synths. Rest assured that Dirty Audio is just getting started, so stay tuned to see what he’ll come up with next.
“Till Its Gone” is a new track from Zenzero
The duo started their collaborations in 2014, starting with a new swing musical, ‘The Canary Girls’, which will be premiered in Sheffield in 2019. It was through this work that Kellett and Doonan decided to join forces for their post-electronic soul infused debut album ‘Ordinary Illusions’, the first release from their project Zenzero, released this December. They followed this up with “Monochrome” in January, and now release “Till Its Gone”.
Flowertruck dance on the precipice of an ebullient pop gem and the casual cruelty of suburban heartbreak in second single ‘Come Across’ – the closing track lifted from their debut LP Mostly Sunny, out March 16 via Spunk Records.
Forever the contrarians, the Sydney four-piece weaponise a melody shouldered by a glittering piano hook and offset it with lyrics depicting the breakdown of relationship and the effort to piece it back together on new track ‘Come Across’. Following first single ‘Enough For Now’, premiered via Klatblut last month, ‘Come Across’ traces a futile attempt to heal a damaged relationship. In Charles Rushforth’s words, “The seeds of the song were spread when I realised I’d done the impossible and killed all of these indoor-plants that had been entrusted to me. It’s wanting to repair a relationship with someone while worrying about your capacity to do that. ‘Come Across’ is my attempt at an olive branch.”
Turning lemons into lemonade, or in the case of new single ‘Ritual’, heartbreak into a boppy-as-hell pop song comes naturally to Iluka.
Following her true north toward feminism and individualism, the forthcoming four track EP finds Iluka at her most authentic; weaponising her retro inspired doo-wop vocal styling, lifting brass and bodacious ringing guitar hooks throughout Ritual. All the while using her platform to inspire change and nurture a culture of equality. Iluka’s changing the world, one pop song at a time.
Diā is the stunning project of composer and performer, Danielle Birrittella
Her debut EP, Tiny Ocean, released with Manimal Records, features songs produced by Joey Waronker (Beck, REM, Atoms for Peace), Tim Carr (The Americans, HAIM) and Frankie Siragusa (theLAB).
Raised on a Hindu ashram, she sang ceremonial ragas as a child, which led to training and performing as an opera singer throughout the U.S. and Europe. Along these travels, she began experimenting with music and writing song fragments on a ukulele, which was gifted to her by her brother. Diā reminisces how she “would literally sit on the floor of my bathroom and come up with melodies”. Encouraging reactions from those close to her, reinforced her musical path.

@skopemag Music Submission: Kastrup – ‘Lucas’
Kastrup was formed as the consequence of an innocent lie which landed the singer and songwriter Timmie a gig on a short notice at the well-known and respected festival “The Rookie Festival”, in Sweden 2013. Timmie signed the contract with the promoters but had no band, no finished material, but a lot of demos and creative anxiety to channel. He contacted programming wizard and master synth geek, Puppe, to help out with this looming disaster. The gig was shaky, but the guys were very appreciated by the audience and the promoters. Kastrup was born.
