SUPAWAVE OSBOURNE, “BLVCKED OWT”
Brooklyn, New York emcee SupaWave Osbourne presents the music video for “Blvcked Owt”, his new single produced by German beatsmith Rato. The video was directed by Trife Drew of Figure Eight Films. Representing Brooklyn’s Bushwick and Flatbush sections, SupaWave has collaborated with Copywrite, has shared the stage with the likes of MF DOOM, Sean Price and Machine Gun Kelly, and is prepping for the release of The Mandela Effect, his forthcoming album.
The album, which also includes their singles “Love/Drugs” and “Ms. Badblood”, explores the quiet voice of love. PopDust stated,”Strange Familia alight upon disco fever, Middle Eastern flair, biting rock of Muse, eclecticism of the Flaming Lips and the polished charm of CHVRCHES, while also doubling-down on their own dreamy signatures and scrawling out messages into the sands of time.”
English alternative pop trio Febueder are proud to announce their forthcoming EP From an Album with the NOWNESS video premiere of its stirring first single ‘Morning Yawn’.
The song is about galvanising against the trickery, the doubt, the hoax – whatever form that may take in an individual’s life. The driving bassline, haunting chanted harmonies, and impassioned vocals are the sound of the tether breaking. This is waking up.

Street Eaters are a truewave/punk band from Berkeley + Oakland, CA that has drawn a range of sonic comparisons to bands from Wipers to Masshysteri, Autoclave to Drive Like Jehu, Huggy Bear to KARP, Sonic Youth’s Bad Moon Rising to Warsaw. After years of relentless international touring on the heels of their well-received album “Blood::Muscles::Bones” (released on Nervous Intent in the U.S./Contraszt! in Europe), Megan March and John No returned home to troubled times in their immediate bay area underground punk community/family and the world at large. True to form, the band sought to come to terms with this changed landscape by diving deeply into their own recording studio to create a new record with an expansive new vision. This record, “The Envoy”, is a concept album based on famed dystopian, gender revolutionary, anti-authoritarian author Ursula K. Le Guin’s influential books “The Dispossessed” and “Left Hand of Darkness”.
Vilde releases the intelligent and invigorating ‘Maintain’
Australian-born, Stockholm-based alt.pop artist Thomas Savage, AKA Vilde, releases his new single, the driving, intelligent and infectious ‘Maintain’.
Building his debut album piece by piece, dropping a new single each month, the ex-Kins frontman ups the tempo on this latest effort. Synth arpeggios cascade and unwind, cold electronic bleeps build suspense, before Savage’s claustrophobic vocals usher in the relentless drums and bass that drive the track forward at an invigorating pace.

With 2014’s Don’t Disconnect, Sarah Jaffe took an artistic left turn, shifting her sound from melancholy singer-songwriter fare to fizzier, more mysterious electro-pop. With its catchy, fascinating songs about the parallels between humanity and machinery, Don’t Disconnect captures the sound of a performer sliding cleanly into her best artistic identity.
The track premiered via The Boot who said that, “they deliver an anthemic single with acoustic-driven arrangements and a blend of grassroots rock and indie pop; while the subject matter is serious, you can’t help but sing along.”
Stream Swordfish’s new single for “Ghost Song”
“By far, hands down last Halloween was the worst” exclaims Swordfish singer Chandler Lach in the chorus of their new single Ghost Song from their upcoming full length Rodia. As the song grows, so do the vocals as the rest of the band joins in, in a joyous fashion until everything falls apart and Lach is simply left with a few bass notes and the line “You wouldn’t know…”. Our friends at The Alternative are premiering today and we are beyond excited to show you the third single from this stellar LP.
Skye Steele’s new album ‘All That Light’
Skye wrote the album in the Bitterroot Valley in Montana before heading to LA to record, where he teamed up with his long-time friend and collaborator Cassorla (Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Blitzen Trapper, Taylor Goldsmith), who produced and helped to co-write it. All That Light fuses his signature violin-based folk-art sound with 808’s, hyper-satured Moog bass lines, glitchy drum loops and shimmering synths, forming a completely unparalleled sound that’s backed by his vivid lyrics. He’s joined on the album by some of his friends and frequent collaborators, including Vanessa Carlton (Skye is also her one-man backing band when she tours), Jolie Holland and Stevie Weinstein-Foner (aka SWF).
Sadistik Releases New Full Length on Equal Vision Records
Two months after a cryptic video alluded to a new Sadistik album on Equal Vision Records, the highly-anticipated Altars full-length is now available on Streaming, iTunes and on a limited run vinyl. Altars is a cohesive artistic statement that bucks against the trend of disposable hip hop that has become commonplace in recent years. The focus is on creating a singular vision, voiced collectively through each aspect of the project, that speaks to the listener. One needs to look no further than the artwork, which was created by Michael Hussar (best known for his oil paintings which have sold to the likes of Kat Von D and Madonna), to get a glimpse into the artistry and attention to detail that went into Altars. Sonically and lyrically, the record is emotive, it is raw, and most importantly, it is honest; culminating in a release that will undoubtedly solidify Sadistik’s well-earned position as one of the most respected artists in the world of alternative hip hop.

Enemies premiere mini-documentary
Today the band have premiered a poignant mini-documentary with Upset, which was filmed at their last ever show in December. Speaking about the video the band said, “It’s been four months since the night we laid Enemies to rest. Fortunately we enlisted the help of a pair of friends to film the show that night, without any brief or idea of outcome. What arrived in our inboxes last week perfectly captures all the love that we felt in the room that cold December night. We’re sharing it for everybody who was there to celebrate our ten years of existence, and for all those who couldn’t make it.”
Today, Seattle four-piece Hoop, share “Baseboards” which features the lovely vocals of Briana Marela. The single is taken from their forthcoming debut, Super Genuine — a soft rock album for people who are sorting out unhealthy power dynamics, whether it’s with a friend, a partner, a family member, an authority figure, or the dystopian reality we all live in. On May 19th, Super Genuine will be available via Decency Den Records on vinyl + digital platforms, and on cassette through Lost Sound Tapes.

CHILDCARE release ‘Dust’
A riff on the End of Days itself, ‘Dust’ finds CHILDCARE tackling mankind’s inevitable extinction with haunting vocal melodies, scalding guitar work and gutsy rhythms, plus a choral finale courtesy of a choir of heaven-sent angels. The third track to be shared from the ‘Made Simple’ EP, the song’s subject matter is certainly a departure from the band’s acclaimed previous tracks ‘Film Club’ and ‘Kiss?’, as frontman Ed Cares explains:
“Having released some music about kissing mums and fancying a girl, I thought it only appropriate that we now tackled the impending end of the world in a global warming/nuclear strike scenario. ‘Dust’ describes a roasting high-temperature cooking experience and the final thoughts of a man approaching his maker.”

Ugly Sun Premieres Single, “Keep Me Safe” via NEW NOISE
Ugly Sun has an affinity for the unbeautiful. Hailing from Buffalo, NY the band has used their steel city edge to bridge the gap between garage punk and emotive indie. The trio’s name succinctly explains the band’s general beliefs in rock and roll. “Rock and Roll has become so shiny” explains front-man/bassist John Crook. “It used to be about the underbelly, the dark parts of society; the dirty parts” he continues, “we want to make Rock and Roll ugly again”.
Begod x Sbvce “Ruin The World”
“Ruin The World” is a cut off the upcoming project from Production/Songwriter duo Baegod and Sbvce titled “Ride or Die Music”. The song was produced by Sbvce (Pronounced Space). The track has a Futuristic R&B meets throwback 90s feel to it. The pair penned the track about a relationship so powerful that doing anything to endanger its existence could literally “Ruin The World”. After writing countless songs together and collaborating for years the duo knows how hard it is to balance a personal and a creative relationship. Spending to much time building one while neglecting the other is a constant challenge.

Pharell Williams: “NoMBe makes music for the subconscious”
Electronic producer / singer noMBe brings some post-punk ferociousness to his new single “Can’t Catch Me,” the latest release from his debut album They Might’ve Even Loved Me.
Featuring LA art-rockers New Mystics (the new project from Josh Onstott of indie darlings Other Lives,) “Can’t Catch Me” finds NoMBe taking a step away from his signature electronic croon and instead unleashes a lo-fi guitar track blending electronics and harmonies from both NoMBe and Onstott.
Bay Ledges have shared a lyric video for their song “Safe.” You can watch the video here.
“Their lyric video for “Safe” adds another layer of intrigue to their approach, with LA soaked visuals that read Miami Vice meets Andy Warhol.”- Culture Collide
Sixo shares reflective track “Random Awakening”
For years Scotty Trimble, the former professional motocross racer and indie rap producer better known as Sixo, has questioned the validity of free will and believed that every outcome has a likelihood of occurring or not occurring. Can our actions truly be considered under our control when existing within a limited amount of variables? Are perceptions of free will merely illusion? With those lingering concepts and a head full of ’60s and ’70s psychedelic rock, Sixo entered his home studio and began crafting ‘The Odds of Free Will’, his third full-length record.
Brainstory’s self titled “mini-album” is a landmark for this Inland Empire born trio of jazz musicians. The Album takes listeners on a maiden voyage inward through the skies of the soul. The journey embarks its listeners through psychedelic landscapes and untouched terrains of psych-rock jazz leaving its passengers in a cathartic state of euphoria. Humanistic themes such as illusions, desires, and inner contemplation relate the listener back to his or herself in an effort to clear a path of self discovery and enlightenment. The band feels all too much that the word “psychedelic” has lost its true meaning in today’s music scene. Instead, the word suggests retro outfits and 1960s nostalgia. Brainstory wishes to remind audiences that psychedelic music is aimed at freeing the mind and soul to explore the depths of existence in this vast universe of being.

Julian Jasper shares the brilliant first new single from his debut EP
Born in San Diego and currently based in LA, Julian Jasper is a Steely Dan for the 21st century, or maybe a lapsed Rundgren after he crossed paths with Ariel Pink. “Wait Until Dawn” unfolds with a confidence rarely heard these days that’s representative of the EP at large, driven by carefree, hook-laden melodies and dynamic basslines. Jasper sounds like Boz Scaggs on a dopamine bender, distractedly strutting and bouncing from one disused phone booth to another looking for a connection.
Skirting the edges of a hundred peeling stickers on dusty bins in forgotten record stores, Mux Mool didn’t set out to throw critics into a labeling tizzy—he just makes what sounds right. Jagged broken beats slip-slide across circuit-bent, pitch-shifted synths in a dystopian wasteland of 90’s nostalgia. The Mux Mool arsenal is a moody collection of instrumental dynamism vacillating between the serious and the silly.
New York solo outfits GRIDFAILURE & MEGALOPHOBE will issue their Dendritic collaborative album on Arbor Day, as the artists begin planting trees across the NYC/lower Hudson Valley region in conjunction with its release. Gramatik & Ramzoid Remix Flume’s “Wall Fuck”
Australian sensation, Flume, is perhaps the one electronic artist who most gracefully handled the transition from underground to the mainstream (while also retaining that all-important “street cred”). If his jump to the majors wasn’t as obvious a couple of years ago, it became undeniable last year with his album, Skin, which saw him featured on Billboard and countless others charts. One of the tracks from Skin, “Wall Fuck,” has caught the eye of two fellow electronic producers, one hailing from Slovenia (now NYC) and the other from Canada- Gramatik and Ramzoid.
Denai Moore’s latest single ‘Trickle’, which has been played across BBC Radio 1 and 1xtra has been remixed by William Arcane. He has brought an “ominosity and mystery” to the track, which, upon hearing he “listened to it about 20 times” noting its “nostalgic vibe … it made me imagine scenes from back home. I wanted to just use the vocal for the remix and paint a new scene with it, something expansive and mysterious.”
Coast Modern breezy new track, “Pockets Full of No”
Sometimes the only way to get ahead is to stop following the leader, and start running your own race. Coast Modern flies out of the pack with a refreshingly uninhibited sound for disenchanted dreamers everywhere. Building on an admiration for the spirit of misfit alternative bands and the fearless ethos of modern hip hop, the duo creates alternative pop with a wink that aims to push the genre into the future.
The LA duo – comprised of Coleman Trapp and Luke Atlas – today release their new song, “Pockets Full of No”- a kicked back and mellowed out track that seeks to have you looking on the lighter side of life. Speaking of the track, the duo noted; ‘Pockets’ is a song about having fun with no money. When you got pockets full of no u can still have a life full of YESSSS.
Today, The Great Enough share the music video to their debut single, “Can You Relate?” The track explores the world through the lens of shared experiences, reminding us that we are all far more alike than we are different. The music video compliments this theme illustrating how fractured relationships can always be mended. So, Can you relate?
