Thoughtful lyricist and hip hop recording artist, Tedashii, returns today with the release of a new music video for “I’m Good,” a song found on his latest 7-track EP This Time Around. “I’m Good” is enjoying early success at radio, currently No. 21 and climbing on the Christian Hot AC/CHR radio chart with over 340 spins to date in top markets including Tampa, Virginia Beach, Oklahoma City, Des Moines, and Springfield, MO.
“I’m Good” is a creative departure sonically for Tedashii who sings over an up-tempo guitar rhythm with newfound optimism. Shot at La Jolla Beach, Ocean Beach Pier and Sunset Cliffs in sunny San Diego, with brilliant driving scenes through Coronada, the video perfectly captures the essence of this vibey end-of-summer groove.

Justin Romanos was drawn to music and songwriting at an early age, and he was soon a regular in the music scene around his rural Connecticut hometown. He had everevolving musical interests, and learned how to make music, both by playing and by recording in his own makeshift home studio. He then chose to attend Drexel University’s Music Industry Program. There, he found a home with likeminded peers, and gained the nickname, “J Pré.” He honed his craft by continuously writing, and spent much of his time in the closeknit Philadelphia basement community, where he fronted the indie rock band “SHMNS.” After graduating college in 2014, it was time to regroup, refocus, and reinvent himself as a musician.

Video of Caleborate – “Consequences”
Blessed with plainspoken wit and the emotional maturity of a man twice his age, 23-year-old Caleborate is one of Hip-Hop’s most promising young voices. Released last week, Caleborate’s critically acclaimed 1993 is a nostalgic record with sample-based, old school Kanye West-style beats, and more electronic, beat-driven tracks. “Consequences” is the latter, as metronomic clicks, rolling snares, Kaytranada-esque synths, and pounding bass build to a slow-burning groove as Caleborate lays out his goals and demolishes his haters: “As far as y’all n*ggas I don’t see no one that’s posing a threat/cause I just wanna chill, smoke, drink and be cool.”
Halifax noise pop power trio Kestrels return with their new self-titled LP to be released worldwide on September 30, 2016. Their third in total and second for Hamilton, Ontario’s fabled Sonic Unyon label, the record sees the band combining a frenzied union of striking melody and sonic bliss.
Two years in the making, the full length was teased with 2014’s The Moon is Shining Our Way EP, a collection of four songs from the album sessions. Having toured the EP internationally and shared stages with the likes of Speedy Ortiz, Ringo Deathstarr, Beliefs, Greys, and Ash, the EP’s title track was mainstay on college radio and CBC Radio 3, laying the groundwork for their defining third record.
The album is loosely based in the same universe and portrays different aspects of the quarter-life crisis, ensuring that the album hits on a visceral, teenage level amongst the shimmer and haze of the lo-fi soundscape that they conjure. The album’s new single, “Faded Fight,” a song detailing the demise of a relationship and romantic failure as a whole and whose video celebrates an emerging scene celebrating Norwegian creativity is now premiering via Impose.

Statement From Danny Wimmer Presents Regarding Houston Open Air
Festival producers Danny Wimmer Presents were reluctantly forced to cancel the second day of the Houston Open Air festival at NRG Park in Houston this Sunday, September 25 due to dangerous storm systems in the area. An announcement will be made on the Houston Open Air website and social media this Wednesday, September 28 regarding refunds for those who purchased September 25 Houston Open Air tickets.
On the advice of Weather Decision Technologies, some of the top meteorologists in the country, Danny Wimmer Presents canceled the Sunday event soon after the show began.
Festival producer Danny Wimmer said, “The last thing we want to do is cancel a show, but we will not risk people getting hurt. It takes nearly an hour to safely evacuate a site—including consumers, staff, vendors, and artists–so they can get to safety before a major storm hits. So we have to make the evacuation decision more than an hour in advance, even if there is still a chance the storm might not hit.”
