SPLIT SCREENS NEW SINGLE “THE SINNER”
Jesse Cafiero, a sort of one man band, played all of the instruments on his first album Split Screens EP. To create the more upbeat pop music on Before the Storm he enlisted band members Phil Pristia (guitar), Debbie Neigher (Keys), Kyle Kelly Yahner (percussion) along with Rory O’Connor (Tycho, Com Truise) who was the session drummer for the entire album. Cafiero also invited Geneva Harrison (Bells Atlas) to play vibraphone and Greg Waters (Guy Fox) on baritone and tenor saxophone.

NEW ALBUM BY JOY IN AUGUST
Southern California psychedelic savages JOY have signed to Tee Pee Records, the NYC independent label known for releasing landmark albums from acts such as High on Fire, Graveyard, Earthless and Sleep. The fast-rising band will release its new album Under the Spell of Joy on August 19. BAD THINGS EMBARK ON FIRST EVER EUROPEAN TOUR

Headlined by New York’s Backtrack, support bands include Harm’s Way, Expire, Suburban Scum, Downpresser and Iron Mind who are all on the entirety of this U.S. tour. Freedom and Will To Die will split opening duties on the front and back halves of the run. MASSIVE ALICE COOPER TOUR
Following the April premiere of Super Duper Alice Cooper at the Tribeca Film Festival, and the subsequent release of the documentary on DVD, Blu-Ray, Deluxe Editions, and digital formats this month via Eagle Rock Entertainment, rock’s greatest showman, Alice Cooper, heads out on a lengthy North American tour.

ALISSA & BIG DADDY KANE TAKE ON BULLYING
Hip-hop legend Big Daddy Kane and up-and-coming singer Alissa Cavallaro have teamed up for an anti-bullying collaboration they call “Don’t Be Pushed Around” to combat bullying in all forms. The duo held a release party for their single “Journey Isn’t Over” last night (June 11) at New York City’s Bowlmor Chelsea Piers.
The single features the 15-year-old Cavallaro belting out uplifting, anti-bullying lyrics, and Kane dropping an empowering verse toward the end. His positive message includes lines like, “Gotta be another way to put a stop to this/I wanna cock a fist, but I’m like, ‘Not for this.'”
