Pop-folk singer-songwriter and activist Laura Marie of San Antonio, Tx is speaking out about her sexual assault and NoMore.org’s national awareness effort. Her song “Everything is Haunted” has been released in support of No More.org partner Joyful Heart Foundation. All contributions given at the free download site are being donated to aid Joyful Heart Foundation in providing services for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors

Laura Marie has also been chosen from thousands of worldwide submissions as a nominee for the 13th Annual Independent Music Awards and is among established artists and artists on the rise including Melissa Ferrick, Yuck, The Soul of John Black, Born Of Osiris, Vienna Teng and Suzzy Roche & Lucy Wainwright Roche. Her performance of “Hard Rain” from her recent album The Season is nominated for Folk/Singer Songwriter Song.
Winners will be determined by a panel of influential artist and industry judges including Ann Wilson & Nancy Wilson, Suzanne Vega, Chiddy Bang, Shelby Lynne, G.
