Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber had a successful night at Sunday’s MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada. Gaga won International Video of the Year for her single “Judas,” and UR Fave International Video for “Born this Way.” Bieber, a Canada-native, tied with Drake for International Video Of The Year By A Canadian for “Somebody to Love,” featuring Usher, and won UR Fave New Artist for the official remix of the track.
SEAN KINGSTON IS DOING BETTER
Just when we started to wonder about his recovery, Sean Kingston uploaded a photo of himself on Twitter and tweeted that he’s “feeling a lot better!” The pop star added that “God is great! Thanks for all the prayers and support! Love you all!” The news comes almost a month after the singer was left in critical condition following a jet ski crash over Memorial Day weekend in Miami.

SELENA GOMEZ RECORDS BRITNEY SPEARS SONG
Selena Gomez teamed up with Britney Spears on the latest leaked track from Gomez’s upcoming album. The song, titled “Whiplash,” was co-written by Spears and was a former candidate for Spears’ album, Circus. Gomez told MTV News that she is “stoked” to include the song on her album, When the Sun Goes Down, due out Tuesday.
AVRIL LAVIGNE WORKING ON NEW ALBUM
According to NME.com, Avril Lavigne says she has started work on her next album, the follow-up to March’s Goodbye Lullaby. The “What the Hell” singer told a fan site that she already has eight songs and would like to release the new album soon. Until then, catch Lavigne on her world tour, which starts next month.
BEYONCE LOVES BEING A ROLE MODEL
Beyonce recently revealed why, unlike most artists, she doesn’t mind the pressures of being a role model. The diva told Entertainment Tonight, “Being a role model is something that I’ve always been. It’s not something that I became, it’s something I was already because I had a younger sister.” She added that every woman is a role model because there is always someone watching and admiring you. Jay-Z’s wife stated, “I don’t take being a role model lightly.” In related news, be sure to pick up Bey’s album 4, which will be available on June 28th.

CEE-LO TALKS ABOUT CONTROVERSIAL TWEET
Cee-Lo Green has drawn a lot of criticism after sending a tweet to a music critic, calling her “gay” for not liking his performance with Rihanna in Minnesota. Well the singer spoke to Us Weekly about the situation, saying that he was “not being serious” and that he’s “not harboring any sort of negative feeling toward the gay community,” adding that he’s “one of the most liberal artists” that you will ever meet. WINEHOUSE CANCELS TOUR DATES
Amy Winehouse has had to cancel a number of dates on her European tour after a disastrous first show in Belgrade, Serbia over the weekend. According to People.com, the embattled singer appeared on stage over an hour late and seemed to be under the influence, slurring her words. She also addressed the crowd of more than 20-thousand by saying, “Hello, Athens,” when in reality, she was actually nowhere near Greece. Winehouse issued a statement apologizing for having to cancel her next two shows, and as of right now, is still set to perform in Spain on Friday. According to Bossip.com, Nivea was reportedly involved in a car crash over the weekend in Atlanta. The singer wrecked her BMW X6 and she had a small child in the vehicle with her. Lil Wayne’s baby momma was later arrested and taken to Fulton County correctional facility for driving under the influence.
50 CENT TO RELEASE A NEW BOOK ON BULLYING
50 Cent has decided to write a new book centered around teen bullying called Playground. The mogul said of the novel, “I wanted to explore how a kid becomes a bully.” He added, “I drew on events from my own childhood and adolescence, but was excited to see the story take on its own life. This book would have been very helpful for me growing up and now that I have a teenage son, it is my goal that this will have a positive influence on all teenagers.” RapRadar.com reports the book is scheduled to hit shelves in January 2012.
U2 PAY TRIBUTE TO CLARENCE CLEMONS
U2 paid tribute to late E Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clemons following his death on Saturday. Before the band performed “Moment of Surrender” at Anaheim’s Angel Stadium, Bono said, “I want you to think about Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. I want you to think of Clarence Clemons.
