LAMBERT KICKED OUT OF GAGA’S B-DAY PARTY?

Adam Lambert did not make a good impression at Lady Gaga’s 25th birthday party recently.   According to UsMagazine.com, gossip blogger Perez Hilton said that the former American Idol contestant showed up at the function in Los Angeles, “beyond drunk.   Super sloppy embarrassingly drunk,” and also that Lambert punched a hole in the ceiling of the restaurant where the party was being held.   Witnesses told the mag that Gaga had to have her security kick him out.

BIRDMAN GRABS LIL WAYNE, NICKI FOR NEW SINGLE

According to Billboard.com, Birdman’s first single, “Why You Mad?,” will include guest verses from Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. The song serves as the lead offering from the Cash Money Records CEO’s fifth studio album, Bigga Than Life. The disc is slated for a July 5th release.

BRITNEY FOR LAS VEGAS RESIDENCY?

Could Britney Spears be the next star to sign on for a Las Vegas residency?   British paper the Daily Mirror reports that sources at Caesar’s Palace are saying the “Hold It Against Me” singer could possibly sign a deal worth more than 100-million dollars where she would perform in Sin City on a “regular basis.”   If anything were to happen, it would have to be after her Femme Fatale tour, which is scheduled to kick off in June.

DEMI LOVATO’S FIRST INTERVIEW

Demi Lovato is going to be sitting down with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts for her first extensive interview since going into rehab.   Not too much has been revealed, but Roberts wrote on her Twitter account that Demi was “open,” “wonderful,” and “devoted to her fans.”   The interview is set to air in the “coming weeks.”   We’ll keep you posted.

LINDA PERRY DEFENDS CHRISTINA

Linda Perry is one of the most popular songwriters out there, having worked extensively with everyone from Christina Aguilera to P!nk to Adam Lambert.   Well she recently spoke a little about the criticisms that Aguilera received over her most recent album, Bionic.   She told AutoStraddle.com that the pop star has “always had a bad rap” and that Christina “doesn’t really care” about what her critics say.   Read more at AutoStraddle.com.

JADA PINKETT: “I DON’T EXPLOIT MY KIDS”

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are tired of people weighing in on how Hollywood careers could impact their children, Willow and Jayden. The mother of the two young stars told Britain’s Daily Mail, “Our children are allowed to stay in the paradigm of being a child. They don’t have to take care of their families: become the complete emotional, physical, and financial focus that happens to many child stars.” Jada added that her “family structure is a little different and it’s quite hard to comprehend, because it’s so outside what usually happens in a family, but the paradigm is the same.”

SHAKIRA HELPS HAITI

Shakira is helping out Haiti.   It was announced late last week that the pop star pledged to donate 400-thousand dollars to rebuild a girls’ school that was destroyed in last year’s terrible earthquake.   According to the Associated Press, with the money, officials are hoping to reopen the school in October.

KATY TALKS WHERE THE “E.T.” BEAT CAME FROM

The beat for Katy Perry’s new song “E.T.” came from an unlikely place.   The pop star told MTV News’ Sway that the producers, Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Ammo, has actually intended for the beat to be used by Three 6 Mafia, and that she’s glad she took it because “it really worked out perfectly” for what she was going for with the song.   See the video for the tune now at MTV.com.

ADELE IS BIG IN CANADA

Adele isn’t only popular in Europe and the U-S — she’s a star in Canada too.   According to the Toronto Sun, due to the high demand for tickets, the singer-songwriter’s upcoming concert in the city was moved from a much smaller venue to the Air Canada Centre, where the Toronto Raptors play.   The show is still set for May 18th.

REBECCA BLACK VERSUS TAYLOR SWIFT

In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, Internet pop sensation Rebecca Black compared herself to Taylor Swift. Millions have viewed Black’s debut music video, “Friday,” and many have even spoofed it. Despite all of the negative attention she has received, the 13-year-old keeps her head held high and thinks that her voice speaks for itself. She told Teen Vogue that people tell her she sounds like Taylor. And Black agrees, saying that her sound, without any creative editing, is unique. All of the limelight has maybe made her think twice about being the next Taylor Swift — she admitted that fame definitely comes with its share of pros and cons.

KID CUDI QUITS SMOKING WEED

Kid Cudi announced that he will no longer smoke weed. The rapper, who was once referred to as the lonely stoner, explained on his blog that he’s too old and has a business to run. The 27-year-old emcee wrote, “I need to be alert and focused with my mind strong. For those who still get it on, smoke one in my memory.” He added that he is happy being “sober” and looks forward to “growing and starting a new chapter.”

LINKIN PARK ANNOUNCE SHOWS IN JAPAN

Linkin Park are headed to Japan. The band, who are currently raising money for the country in the wake of the earthquake and tsunami through their Music For Relief organization, will play four shows there in September starting with a concert in Chiba on September 11th. Linkin Park are out in support of their album, A Thousand Suns.

PARAMORE SAY NEW MUSIC IS ON THE WAY…

Paramore have some new music on the way. Singer Hayley Williams tweeted that she just finished up some songs in the vocal booth for music to “tide you over” till their next full length album. The band recently said they’d like to release an EP before the year is out, but nothing official has been announced. We’ll be sure to keep you posted.
