Armed with an affinity for Harrison Ford films and 90’s-era indie rock, Farewell Continental’s new six-track EP is the follow-up to 2009’s self-titled, square 7”.
Playfully intermingling the male/female vocals of guitarist Richard Kimble and keyboardist Allie Fox, Farewell Continental’s latest offering builds on the indie rock foundation laid by bands such as Pavement, Guided By Voices, Superchunk and Archers of Loaf, to name a few. “Total Devastation,” the first single, is a shining example of the band’s lo-fi, downtempo sound, which is accompanied visually by a lo-fi music video.
