JAY SEAN TO KNOCK BEP OUT OF TOP SPOT

According to Billboard, Jay Sean will put an end to the Black Eyed Peas’ record reign atop the Hot 100 as his single, “Down,” will move into the top slot on the chart today.   The Peas had held the number one spot for 26 straight weeks with “Boom Boom Pow,” which was on top for 12 weeks, and “I Gotta Feeling, which was at the summit for 14 weeks.   This smashed the prior mark of 19 straight number one weeks earned by Usher with a pair of his tracks back in 2004.
