Shane Scheib is an indie artist based in Nashville, Tennessee. His music expertly blurs the lines between the energy of alternative rock and the verve of indie-pop.

A creative and forward-thinking performer, Shane is known to produce music with an open heart and an open mind, bridging the gaps between clever arrangements and emotional lyrical wit. His distinctive guitar playing is also the result of lots of labor and dedication: when he was 13, Shane fell in love with the mastery and incredible ability of Stevie Ray Vaughn. He watched the bluesman’s legendary live performances on video repeatedly, eventually mastering the blues and rock formula. Later, he took it to the next level as a trained jazz guitarist with a versatile mindset, incorporating influences as diverse as folk, pop and rock into his music.

The Pretty Reckless smashes it! “Take Me Down,” the first single from the upcoming album Who You Selling For, has reached #1 on the rock chart, after just 7 short weeks. This milestone marks the fourth consecutive #1 for the band who broke records as the first female-fronted band to have three chart toppers in a row with “Heaven Knows,” “Messed Up World” and “Follow Me Down” (all from 2014’s Going To Hell) – a feat that has not been accomplished since The Pretenders in 1984, over 30 years ago.

WL’s incredible, animated video for “Feeling Down”

WL is a three piece exploratory rock band from Portland, OR. Misty Mary sings, plays keyboards and plays bass, Stevie Nistor plays drums and keyboards, and Michael Yun plays keyboards and guitar. They have been playing together since 2012.

The band’s first single ‘Impermanent’ b/w ‘No Escape’ was released in the summer of 2012. It was recorded on a 1/4″ Tascam 388 and released as a limited edition 7″. Impermanent is a meditation on the consequences of existing in a prolonged state of imbalance. No Escape was written during a sensory deprivation session, part of a series of sessions for which the band had traded an ambient piece. These visceral, yearning songs provided the band with an anchor to which they have tethered their shape shifting explorations.

Of the track, Santais stated, ”We wanted to make a melancholic, yet intense electro-pop song about the ambiguity sometimes present in relationships – love, lust, loss & things left unsaid. The foundation of the song unfolded itself quicker than for any song we had ever made before. We had just gotten back from our shows at M for Montreal, sat down in the studio and recorded random ideas just for fun, for an hour or so. Next morning, it hit us both. We had the main components of the song locked in. We even kept Thomas’ original vocal track from that night, because it captured the essence of the emotion, and could not be reproduced.”
