Gethen Jenkins Announces June Tour Dates
Rising country singer-songwriter Gethen Jenkins announces today that he will be hitting the road this June in support of his forthcoming debut album Western Gold due this summer via RED MUSIC/Five Music. The 15-date tour, which kicks off on June 1 at the OakHeart Country Music Festival and concludes on June 30 at The Wayfarer (Costa Mesa, CA), includes stops in major markets like Dallas, Kansas City, Nashville, and Chicago as well as several festivals across the country including the 42nd Annual Redwood Bike Run, HorseThief The Festival, and A Day In The Country.

Dallas-based indie rock band, Air Review, are back with a new album, How We Got By, due out June 21, 2019. The Dallas Observer writes, “It’s been a while since we last heard from Air Review. In 2013, it was hard for local music fans to avoid the indie-rock crew, thanks to its addictive single “America’s Son” receiving frequent airplay on KXT 91.7, in addition to their regular performance schedule. Another tune from Low Wishes, “Young,” was also given all sorts of rightfully deserved love from glossy publications and NPR.”

The Rush Midnight (aka Russ Manning) composed track premiered via Cool Hunting where Boulevards (aka Jamil Rashad) detailed; “YADIG! is inspired by by the basics of funk. 1960s/1970s dance grooves from back in the day. I’ll watch blaxploitation movies and growing up my father used to play funk and blues records in the house. In the last couple of years, I’ve been going to dance parties where DJs are playing old 45s where you hear the dust and dirt. People just sweating and vibing. That’s the type of records we strive to make. Russell helped with the sound and rawness of the record.”
