5150 Publishing Accepting Raver Stories Submissions

5150 Publishing Inc. has announced a Call For Submissions to the electronic music community and beyond, for a new book endeavor entitled THE RAVER STORIES PROJECT. Slated to be the first of its kind in North America, the book will consist of stories submitted by fans of electronic music events about their most memorable raving experiences. Contributors can submit their stories through www.raverstoriesproject.com, where more details for THE RAVER STORIES PROJECT can be found.

5150 CEO Michael Tullberg said, “This is an exciting new venture for 5150, and for the American electronic music world as well. The people in the rave scene are the most important part of this movement, and have also been the most under-represented. It’s their experiences that have always been the backbone of the dance music community, and we want to bring these positive moments to the forefront. We’re doing this in the spirit of 90s rave magazine Lotus, which was a much-loved publication by ravers, for ravers. THE RAVER STORIES PROJECT is similar in that it provides partygoers with the opportunity to express their experiences and explain why electronic music is such an important and dynamic part of their lives.”

Krusoe unveils spectacular video for ‘Rivers Run riot’

Capturing the nostalgia and faded glory of the seaside haunts he grew up around, the new track is an eerie, atmospheric take on alternative indie. Subtle hints of electronica show through the cracks, creating an intriguing soundscape upon which Krusoe lays his superbly written melodies.

The new video was born from the knowledge that a lot of people suffer from anxiety and depression, and many are stuck with the choice to medicate or not. Speaking on the video, director Daniel Harris said: “Often, those little pills have strong and character-changing effects and the choice to medicate has been getting harder and harder for a lot of sufferers. The second male’s character, although sometimes ambiguously real, acts as a devil-on-his-shoulder character and an enabler to the lead’s anxiety. Amongst these heavier themes, the narrative lightens the delivery of the subject matter and the piece is tied together by a hazy and ethereal performance from Krusoe himself.”
