NICKI BLUHM AND THE GRAMBLERS EXCLUSIVE ALBUM TRAILER
Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers have announced details of their much-anticipated new album. Loved Wild Lost, which follows the Bay Area-based band’s eponymous 2013 debut, arrives on Tuesday, April 21st. The band teamed with producer Brian Deck (Iron & Wine, Modest Mouse, Josh Ritter) on Loved Wild Lost. It’s their first time working with an outside collaborator and the result is their most compelling collection of songs to date. The richly layered sound forms the ideal foundation for Bluhm’s soaring vocals and increasingly powerful songcraft. Further color comes from San Francisco’s Magik*Magik Orchestra (Death Cab for Cutie, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Walkmen), whose complex arrangements serve to amplify the indelibly universal themes of Loved Wild Lost.

PISS VORTEX NEW VIDEO
With the subtlety and auditory comparison of a chainsaw to the base of your spine, Denmark-based PISS VORTEX unloads their first official video, hailing from their self-titled debut LP.
Released through Indisciplinarian in November, Piss Vortex delivered the contorted and demented, noise-laden crust/grind/hardcore PISS VORTEX has been quickly known for throughout their hometown of Copenhagen and beyond live, captured through fourteen searing tracks in twenty-three minutes. Directed by Christopher Leo Andersen and Kasper Rebien, the newly created video for the album’s “Devouring Intent,” though brief, does accurate job of documenting the mayhem of the band’s live shows cut into a collage of their impressions from a cold, wintery Copenhagen, perfectly reflecting the chaotic and aggressive nature of the band and their unusual take on grindcore. Cvlt Nation issues with the video, “PISS VORTEX know how to create music that channels their aggression into a chaotic mass of razor wire that shreds your ear canals as it forces its way into your head!”
