Influenced by the likes of Hank Williams and Patti Smith, newcomer Dara Sisterhen has announced the release of her EP, Boom. The 5 song EP produced by Dave Cobb (Jamey Johnson, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell) is set for release on February 10, 2015 – listen to the lead single, “Sets me free” HERE. “Because of my unconventional life and constant travel, I felt that I lost my sense of attachment to the place that I came from and the people I grew up with. ‘Sets Me Free’ was inspired by my return home last summer. Coming back felt very foreign to me, and it felt like I was experiencing a different type of heartbreak”. The EP highlights similar themes in Dara’s musical styling and lyrical motion and is recommended for fans of Patsy Cline and The Beatles.
