Brooklyn-based trio Keepaway have announced their signing to Greedhead Music, the label formed by Das Racist’s Himanshu Suri, for their debut album, Black Flute, set to be released digitally on January 10th 2012. The 10 tracks offered on Black Flute incorporate instinctual pop music, post-hip-hop experimentation, and everywhere between. Fascinated by the fact that the biggest names in pop music today- like Wayne, Kanye, and Lady Gaga- have always been desperately weird, Nick Nauman, Frank Lyon, and Mike Burakoff created Black Flute as a serious response to the ever-developing genre, hoping that each listen of their debut album will evolve with you just as the best loving relationships do.
