BRITNEY ANNOUNCES FEMME FATALE ALBUM
Britney Spears took to Twitter to announce that her new album will be titled Femme Fatale. The singer also tweeted, “I’ve poured my heart and soul into this album over the last 2 years. I’ve put everything I have into it,” and added, “This album is for you, my fans, who have always supported me and have stuck by me every step of the way! I love you all!” Spears’ Femme Fatale album will arrive in stores on March 15th.
JUSTIN BIEBER GETS FOUR NODS AT CANADA’S JUNO AWARDS
Justin Bieber is nominated for four June Awards. The 16-year old is up for Pop Album of the Year, Album of the Year and Juno Fan Choice Award. Drake leads all nominees with six awards, other artists nominated include Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift and Arcade Fire. The Junos are Canada’s highest music awards honor and the winners will be announced on March 26th.
DRAKE, RIHANNA TO PERFORM AT GRAMMYS
According to MTV News, Drake and Rihanna have just been added to the list of performers at the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards. The GRAMMY-nominated artists are scheduled to take stage for the first time ever together. In addition, Cee Lo Green, Gwyneth Paltrow and the Jim Henson Company’s puppets will also join previously confirmed performers Eminem, B.o.B., Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Janelle Monae, Lady Gaga, Usher and others. TABOO TALKS NEW BOOK
Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas will release a book next week that chronicles his rise from poverty to fame called Fallin’ Up: My Story. The book features the first inside look into the making of the multi-platinum band, the Black Eyed Peas, and goes into how it formed and how the guys met Fergie and invited her to join the group. The book arrives in stores on Tuesday. Taboo and the Black Eyed Peas will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday.

GAGA’S VIDEO TO BE “SHOCKING”
It really shouldn’t come as any surprise, but the video for Lady Gaga’s forthcoming single, “Born This Way,” could be “shocking.” In fact, a source told British paper the Daily Star that the clip is going to be the pop star’s “most shocking video yet.” The single is set to drop on February 11th but there’s no word on when the video will be out.
BRUNO MARS ON THE LOVE EP
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Bruno Mars is having his music featured on an album called, The Love EP. According to his official website, the singer’s tune, “Our First Time,” will be on the five-song effort, which also features Cee-Lo Green and others. Download it now at TheLoveEP.com.

Tuesday night saw the debut of Melissa Etheridge playing the role of “St. Jimmy” in the hit Broadway musical American Idiot. The GRAMMY winner had big shoes to fill, taking over the role from Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, but if audience reaction is any indication, she did a fantastic job because the crowd was going crazy for her performance all evening long. John Mayer has been trying to keep a low profile as of late, but Us Weekly is reporting that on one particular occasion, he wasn’t able to do so. Kelly Clarkson just can’t seem to catch a break. We reported earlier in the week that the original American Idol had to go in for an emergency root canal, and it appears that she has since had to return for more. Katy Perry just got a new sponsorship deal. According to ContactMusic.com, the pop star is now the face of Thomas Sabo jewelry, and will be featured in their forthcoming spring/summer advertising campaign. The website reports that Katy is the brand’s first ever “face” in the history of the 27-year-old company.
DURAN DURAN ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL
Today is the Vh1 Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam. The show features some of the biggest performers around, including Duran Duran, Jason Derulo and Kid Rock, as they’ll help get people pumped for Sunday’s Super Bowl. According to Rap-Up.com, Keri Hilson is leaning towards naming “One Night Stand” featuring Chris Brown as the next single off her latest album, No Boys Allowed. The “Pretty Girl Rock” singer explained that her “fans are really liking [the song].” While Miss Keri did not confirm or deny if the track will get the single treatment, she spilled that she “eventually wants to get to ‘All the Boys,’ that’s one of my favorites on the album, as well as ‘Beautiful Mistake.’”
NICKI SURPASSES KANYE IN SALES
According to the Nielsen SoundScan report, Nicki Minaj’s debut album, Pink Friday, has officially exceeded the overall sales of Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The Young Money starlet has claimed the number three spot on the Billboard 200 chart this week, while Yeezy’s effort slipped to the number 19 position. To date, Nicki has sold an impressive 989-thousand copies in less than two and a half months.
GLEE MASHES UP THE YEAH YEAH YEAHS
