KATY PERRY AND MAROON 5 TO PLAY WINDOWS PHONE LAUNCH
Microsoft and AT&T will launch the new Windows Phone with free concerts featuring Katy Perry at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City, and Maroon 5 at the Fillmore in San Francisco, California on Monday. Tickets are available only at select AT&T stores in San Francisco and New York on the day of the shows, also the day the Windows Phone launches.
JUSTIN BIEBER’S NEW VID
Justin Bieber’s new video for the acoustic version of “Never Say Never” debuted on Saturday during Game Three of the World Series. Standing on a baseball diamond, Bieber is wearing a Texas Rangers jacket and a San Francisco Giants baseball hat. Bieber told MTV News that he is a fan of the New York Yankees, but wore the merchandise to support the two teams playing for the World Series title. The clip features Bieber singing from the baseball diamond and is cut with real game footage of the players hitting balls, in the field and hanging out in the dugout. The video shows Bieber playing some acoustic guitar as well. In the end, Bieber walks off the field, bat and guitar in hand. The original version of the song, which features rapping by Jaden Smith, appeared on the Karate Kid soundtrack earlier this year.

Justin Bieber was on hand at the Barnes and Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles on Sunday singing copies of his new book Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever: My Story. Young girls waited hours for a chance to meet the pop sensation and Bieber didn’t disappoint. Justin spent time signing autographs, posing for pictures and chatting with his adoring fans.
JAY SEAN TO RELEASE FREEZE TIME IN FEBRUARY
Jay Sean will release his highly anticipated album Freeze Time on February 2nd. The record boasts his hit single “2012 (It Isn’t the End),” featuring Nicky Mina. The song has already surpassed Gold status on iTunes with sales in excess of 500-thousand copies since its release on August 3rd, while the music video has hit nearly eight-million views on VEVO.

RICKY MARTIN ON OPRAH!
After Ricky Martin revealed he was gay last March, the singer went on an emotional roller coaster ride. Martin, who appears on The Oprah Winfrey Show today, told the talk show host he first felt “numb” and then “relieved,” after he made the announcement. Then, he said the magnitude of what he’d done hit him explaining, “When I realized, okay, I just pressed send, whoo … I was alone…I was in my studio alone for a minute. My assistant walked in and I just started crying like a little baby. I started crying.” Martin is father to two-year-old twin sons, Valentino and Matteo, via a surrogate and stated his kids are the reason he felt he could no longer sidestep questions about his sexuality.

KATY AND RUSSELL BUY EACH OTHER ANIMALS
What do you get the bride that has everything? Well if you’re Russell Brand, apparently you get your new wife Katy Perry a Bengal tiger. According to British paper the Daily Mail, the comedian purchased a tiger named Machli for Perry. Not to be outdone, Katy got Russell a baby elephant. Of course, neither of the animals will be brought back to America from India — the money paid will be used to fund upkeep of their current homes.
NICOLE SCHERZINGER ALBUM INFO
Some more information about Nicole Scherzinger’s long-awaited solo album has been revealed. According to Billboard.com, the entire effort is produced by RedOne and is set to feature collaborations with Jay Sean and Ne-Yo. It appears that she will not be calling the album My Name is Nicole, which is what was supposed to be the title of her debut back in 2007 that never came out. Also, there’s been no word when the still untitled record will be available, but she did just release a video for the first single, “Poison.”
NICOLE SCHERZINGER GETS PART IN MIB 3
Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger has been confirmed to be appearing the forthcoming movie Men in Black 3. According to E! Online, the singer has been given what she describes as a “small villain role.” She apparently has a “couple of lines” and then dies. Betty White will also be in the flick, which is due out in 2012.
KELLY CLARKSON: BASEBALL FANATIC
If Kelly Clarkson wasn’t a huge baseball fan before this year’s World Series she most certainly is now. The Texas native not only performed the National Anthem before game three, but also met Texas Rangers legend and team president Nolan Ryan and got a ball signed by him. TAYLOR SWIFT SPENDS AN HOUR WITH ELLEN
The Ellen DeGeneres Show devoted an entire hour to Taylor Swift yesterday. Taylor first appeared on the show three years ago and an entire hour was devoted to her last year when her album Fearless was released. DeGeneres pressed Taylor for answers about her relationship status, while showing pictures of Taylor with actor Jake Gyllenhaal on a screen behind them. Taylor politely answered the questions without giving away too much information and then changed the subject to DeGeneres scaring her the last time she appeared on the show. As they showed a clip – Taylor literally falling to her knees in fear from last season – a person dressed in a dinosaur costume then walked up behind Taylor and scared her once again. During the show Taylor performed “Mine” acoustically and surprised one of her fans, Amber, with tickets to the CMA Awards and a signed guitar. Amber and her husband Matt played “Love Story” at their wedding in August.
LILY ALLEN SUFFERS A MISCARRIAGE
Lily Allen has suffered a miscarriage. According to People, the singer’s rep announced in a statement that she and boyfriend Sam Cooper have “lost their baby,” and that they are asking for their “privacy to be respected,” and that “no further comment will be made.” Allen had recently announced that she would be giving birth to a baby boy in January. This is Allen’s second miscarriage — her first happened in 2008 with then-boyfriend Ed Simons of The Chemical Brothers.
KANYE’S NUDE PHOTOS SURFACE!
MediaTakeOut.com has gotten a hold of the nude Kanye West photographs that were being shopped around last month. In one of the two pictures, ‘Ye sits shirtless with his sunglasses and trademark gold chain, while the other pic displays the rapper in boxers with his genitals popping out. The rap star has yet to confirm if it’s really him in the images, we’ll keep you posted.

CLARKSON TO PERFORM AT CMA AWARDS
Jason Aldean will bring his kinda party to the 44th Annual CMA Awards when he takes the stage to perform his new duet with Kelly Clarkson. The song, “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” is off of Jason’s new album, My Kinda Party, which was released today. This will be Kelly’s first performance on the CMA Awards, though she was nominated in 2007 for CMA Musical Event of the Year for her duet with Reba McEntire on “Because of You.” The awards show airs live from Nashville on November 10th at 8 PM Eastern on ABC.
UNDERWOOD HONORED BY HER ALMA MATER
Carrie Underwood has another award to add to her trophy shelf after receiving the Centurion medallion from Northeastern State University, her alma mater, as part of the university’s Founder’s Day celebration. The Centurion honor is given to members of NSU’s family — alumni, faculty, staff, and students — who have impacted the life of the university’s community. The director of NSU’s alumni services said, “She is definitely one of the most influential people of NSU’s first 100 years. We want to acknowledge her achievements and what she means to NSU.” She received her award before a recent show on her Play On Tour in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
SWIFT TO HAVE HER OWN FRAGRANCE LINE
It looks like Taylor Swift fans will have something else to use when trying to be like their favorite singer. The Elizabeth Arden company has signed an exclusive global license agreement with Taylor to develop and market her own line of fragrance products. The contract states that Taylor will personally be involved in all aspects of the product including development, packaging and advertising. The first fragrance will debut in the U-S during the fall of 2011.

RIHANNA TALKS “WHAT’S MY NAME” VIDEO
MTV News reports Rihanna has spilled on what fans can expect of the video for her Drake-assisted single, “What’s My Name?” The singer explained, “You just see what it would be like with a young couple, like, two 20-year-olds eating Chinese food in a New York City apartment. It’s really fun.” In addition, Ri Ri knew Drizzy would work well on the flirty-yet-melodic record because “he’s a young rapper who has incredible melodies.” While the video will premiere in the coming days, fans will be able to purchase her upcoming Loud LP on November 16th.
