BRITNEY SPEARS IN THE STUDIO
Britney Spears is back in the studio working on new music. Sean Garrett told E! Online that he is going to work with Spears on the effort. Garrett co-produced and sang on “Toy Soldier” from Brit’s 2007 album, Blackout. The Pen said that the tunes he plans to do with Spears could get “freaky.” Garrett also plans on working with Beyonce and Justin Bieber in the near future.
GAGA TO BECOME A MINISTER?
Might Lady Gaga the pop star soon become Lady Gaga the minister. According to British paper the Daily Star, a source said that the “Bad Romance” singer has “completed virtually all of the coursework” to become ordained, and that she wants to be able to perform marriages for her gay fans. The source stressed that this “isn’t a gimmick” as she has a “very strong belief system and has embraced God since she was a little girl.”
PETA LASHES OUT AT GAGA AGAIN
Lady Gaga is not making any friends at PETA. She’s already come under fire by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals after wearing a dress made of meat on the cover of Japanese Vogue. Then, on Sunday at the Video Music Awards, the pop star wore a similar outfit, and PETA decided to fire another shot as Gaga. According to HollywoodLife.com, a statement was issued calling the outfit “offensive” and also made the claim that “young people will not be buying her records if she keeps it up.”
GAGA GETS A NEW TATTOO
Lady Gaga revealed that the title of her new album will be Born This Way, and it seems that the pop star has already had the words tattooed on her body. According to PerezHilton.com, Gaga was spotted with some new ink of a unicorn on her upper thigh with the phrase “Born This Way” wrapped around its horn. See it on the gossip site now.

UNIVERSITY TAKES ON LADY GAGA
The University of Virginia is offering a class on Lady Gaga titled Gaga for Gaga: Sex, Gender, and Identity. The prerequisite to the course is an essay on how the star pushes social boundaries. Students will listen to her music, watch her music videos and also read about her influences on gender expression. The class will be taught by a UVA grad student. The university is also known for offering a Harry Potter themed class.

JORDIN SPARKS ESCAPES PITBULL ATTACK
American Idol alumna Jordin Sparks is currently nursing a bruised leg after a run-in with a pitbull terrier this past weekend. According to the SingersRoom.com, Sparks reportedly took her pet pooch to a New York City park on Sunday so it could play with other dogs, but an untrained pitbull ruined the outing when it ran up to Sparks and locked its jaw around her leg. Sparks has a small bruise from the incident, but thankfully the dog bite did not break her skin.
DRAKE TEAMS WITH TANK
Tank and Drake have joined forces to create a mid-tempo song called “Celebration.” The cut is reportedly off the R&B singer’s fourth studio album, Now or Never. Be sure to look for it this November.

DRAKE FOOLED MOM WITH TWITTER MARRIAGE
We previously reported that Nicki Minaj set the record straight about her recent Twitter marriage and divorce from Drake. However, it seems the stunt fooled Drizzy’s mom! According to People.com, the Canadian rapper explained, “My mom was actually like, ‘What happened? How did you elope?’” He added, “But we were just joking around. I never thought it would get so out of hand.” Nicki shared the same sentiment with MTV, saying, “Drake is just my little brother, and I kid with him all the time.”
ARETHA WANTS HALLE FOR BIOPIC
According to SingersRoom.com, Aretha Franklin is hoping that one actress in particular will play her in a biopic. The Queen of Soul wants Halle Berry to be the leading lady in her autobiographical movie, From These Roots. In addition to feeling Berry would be “a good choice,” Franklin also wants Denzel Washington to play the role of her father. Nia Long and Terrence Howard are reportedly being considered to star in the film — further details are unknown at this time.
JAY-Z ROCKS YANKEE STADIUM
It was only fitting that the first show of Jay-Z and Eminem’s Home To Home at the new Yankee Stadium included guest appearances and performances with Kanye West, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Drake, Nicki Minaj and Beyonce. WILL.I.AM RESPONDS TO BLACKFACE AT VMA’s
During the 2010 VMA pre-show, will.i.am literally jumped on stage with Nicki Minaj wearing all black. The Black Eyed Pea wore black face paint to match his all black outfit, which many felt was blackface and inappropriate. On Twitter, he responded with “just because I wear all black including head mask as expression and emphasize my outfit, it shouldn’t be looked at as racial…Let go of the past. P!nk had a pretty crazy weekend celebrating her 31st birthday. According to People.com, the pop star and husband Carey Hart went camping outside of Santa Barbara, California. And although a source says that they “seemed to have an amazing weekend,” it wasn’t without some drama. The website reports that there we complaints about the couple playing their music too loud, and that they were asked to leave the campsite. P!nk later wrote on Twitter that she and her husband are the only two that “can get kicked out of a campground.”
SHINEDOWN HEAD OUT ON ACOUSTIC TOUR
Shinedown toured all summer long, but they’re not done for the year. The band has just announced that they’ll head out on an acoustic tour called Anything & Everything — An Acoustic Evening With Shinedown starting November 4th in Tampa. The stripped back trek will run through December 9th in New Orleans. Tickets go on sale this Saturday.

After months of speculation about what might happen with George Michael regarding his July solo-car crash while under the influence of marijuana, a sentence has finally been passed down. According to CNN, the former Wham! singer will have to spend eight weeks in jail. He’s also been banned from driving for six months.
JOHN MAYER QUITS TWITTER
People on Twitter are going to have one less celebrity to follow. That’s because John Mayer has closed his account on the social networking site. According to Comcast.net, a spokesperson for the singer-songwriter said that it’s because his recent Battle Studies tour is “now at a close” and that he’s planning a “return to the studio.” Fans of Mayer can still keep up to date with him through his blog, which can be found at JhnMyr.Tumblr.com.
MAYER & ANISTON TOGETHER AGAIN?
The rumors regarding John Mayer and ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston just won’t end. According to RadarOnline.com, last week, the former Friends star took in Mayer’s show in Atlanta, Georgia, as Aniston happened to be in town filming her new flick, Wanderlust. Kid Cudi has teamed with great artists for his sophomore album. According to Rap-Up.com, the “Day N Nite” rapper opened up about the project at the Halo: Reach launch party at Best Buy in Times Square. Scott told reporters that Mary J.
