GAGA’S NEXT ALBUM MAY BE “SHOCKING”
Lady Gaga recently announced that she’s still working on her highly anticipated next album. Producer RedOne heard some of it already and said that it’s going to be “shocking.” The producer, who was behind Gaga’s breakout hit “Just Dance,” told Billboard.com that he worked on two tracks for the project and that it’s going to make people say, “Oh my God! We didn’t expect this!” RedOne also said that he encouraged the pop star to work with other producers on the new record, but wouldn’t say exactly who.
GAGA GOES TO SEE APPLE
Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball tour took her to California this week, and the pop star decided to do a little sightseeing. According to 9To5Mac.com, Gaga stopped by Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California. Dressed in typical Gaga-gear, she posed for pictures and schmoozed with employees.
KATY AND RUSSELL GET COUNSELING
Katy Perry and Russell Brand are set to get married in the coming months, and it appears that the couple is going to a little counseling in anticipation of their upcoming nuptials. According to British paper the Daily Mirror, Perry is worried that the fact that the two are always on the road could lead to some problems, so they’ve been talking to a therapist for an hour a day.
EMINEM GOES DOUBLE PLATINUM!
It didn’t take long for Eminem’s critically acclaimed Recovery album to achieve double platinum status. In fact, Slim Shady’s disc, which includes “Not Afraid” and “The Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna, sold well over two-million copies in only two weeks. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Em managed to sell an additional 132-thousand copies last week, which pushed his grand total to 2.1-mil.

BSB AND NKOTB TO TOUR?
Could the Backstreet Boys and the New Kids on the Block be heading out on tour together? According to E! Online, the boy bands are close to signing a deal with Live Nation that could see the two groups out on the road beginning as early as March of next year. A source told the website that the idea behind the trek is to “recreate the boy band phenomenon” and that “it will be the ultimate ladies’ night out.” The website also reports that a third group is being looked at to join the potential tour, and that it could potentially be Boyz II Men.
UPDATE ON RIHANNA’S NEXT ALBUM
Producer Alex Da Kid told JustJared.com that fans can expect Rihanna’s next album to be “strong, fun, and sassy.” The hit-maker has already contributed to Ri Ri’s follow-up to Rated R and added the disc has “a mixture of her two sides. It’s commercial, but at the same time it’s got an edge to it–it has substance.” In addition, people from the singer’s label are looking to create a song that will have similar success to her duet on Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” single.
LADY GAGA WANTS ANOTHER T.I. COLLAB
According to Rap-Up.com, Lady Gaga reached out to T.I., expressing that they could “top” their recent collaboration together. Tip explained that right now he’s unsure if their current duet will appear on King Uncaged or “if that’s going to be one-upped or what not.” As of now, Kanye West is the only confirmed guest feature on the T.I.’s highly anticipated disc — which will hit stores later this fall.

RAEKWON TALKS POSSIBLE KANYE, BIEBER SONG
We recently reported Kanye West tweeted about wanting to collaborate with Raekwon and Justin Bieber — who is currently the only artist ‘Ye is following on Twitter. It looks like this highly unlikely partnership might become a reality. The former Wu-Tang Clam member told XXLMag.com that “it’s definitely gonna happen” adding that when talents merge together “it’s something that’s gonna make the fans check it out.” Not only is Rae a fan of both artists, but he explained, “For them to even just have a conversation and just put my name in it, it feels good… we gon’ make a hit.”

SWIFT’S SPEAK NOW ALBUM COVER REVEALED
Big Machine Records has revealed the cover of Taylor Swift’s third album, Speak Now. Taylor is wearing a purple strapless gown, which appears to be blowing in the air, as she glances over her right shoulder. She flashes a half smile with her long-curly hair in Taylor style. Speak Now is written in a white cursive font followed by Taylor Swift in gold writing. Speak Now will be available on October 25th.
LADY A’S WEBISODE WEDNESDAY HEADS OVERSEAS
Lady Antebellum’s latest Webisode Wednesday highlights the band’s adventure around England, where they performed at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in front of a sold out crowd. Lady A arrived in London two days prior to their show and stopped at various television and radio stations to promote their album, Need You Now. One of the most reoccurring questions they were asked was how to pronounce the group’s name. EMINEM AND LIL WAYNE JUMP ON NEW TRAVIS’ LP
XXLMag.com reports Eminem, Lil Wayne and Drake have contributed to Travis Barker’s upcoming solo album. The Blink 182 drummer has also recruited T.I., Game, Pharrell, Snoop Dogg, Rza, Lupe Fiasco, Rick Ross, Bun B, Beanie Sigel, Clipse, Yelawolf, The Cool Kids and many more. The effort is slated to arrive this fall.
KINGS OF LEON WONT SELL OUT ON TV
It seems Kings of Leon aren’t complete fame whores just yet. The band told NME that they refused to let TV shows Glee and Ugly Betty use their image or music. Bassist Jared Followill said they didn’t appear on Ugly Betty playing themselves because they didn’t want to sell out and the same goes for giving the cast of Glee their music to interpret. Kings of Leon will be keeping it real on tour this summer and are gearing up for the release of their new album, Come Around Sundown, on October 19th.
KINGS OF LEON RESCHEDULE PIGEON POOP GIG
Pigeon poop caused the Kings of Leon to cancel a show in St. Louis early last month and make headlines around the world. Now, the band has rescheduled the gig in the Missouri city. The band will once again play the Verizon Amphitheatre on September 25th as part of their North American tour. The band’s fifth studio album, Come Around Sundown, is out on October 19th.

KANYE WON’T FACE SUGE KNIGHT IN COURT
SingersRoom.com reports a Miami federal judge granted Kanye West permission to phone into a scheduled mediation session with Suge Knight, instead of appearing face-to-face. But don’t think ‘Ye was afraid of meeting in person; His lawyers explained that West would be out of the country for business. Hopefully the upcoming meeting will resolve whether or not Kanye owes Knight one-million dollars in damages for getting shot at 2005 party he hosted.

WEEZER TO GO ON PINKERTON TOUR?
Will Weezer play their classic album Pinkerton in its entirety on tour this year? Maybe, according to guitarist Brian Bell. He told Alternative Press.com that the band hopes to head out on a Pinkerton tour around the time the re-issue of the record comes out on October 5th. That’s just after Weezer puts out their brand new album, Hurley, on September 14th, so it’s bound to be a busy year for the band.
U2’S SPIDER-MAN CAST ANNOUNCED
The cast for U2’s Spider-Man Broadway musical has been revealed. Variety reports that Isabel Keating, Michael Mulheren and Gideon Glick have joined Reeve Carney for the show, which opens on Broadway on December 21st. Bono and The Edge wrote original music for the play.
