According to PerezHilton.com, the “Bad Romance” singer has managed to set yet another record, as her album The Fame is now the best selling digital record of all time. The website reports that the honor used to belong to Coldplay and their album Viva La Vida, but this week, Gaga surpassed their then-record of 782-thousand copies sold.
KELLY CLARKSON DROPS OUT OF LILITH FAIR
Kelly Clarkson will not be at Lilith Fair. The original American Idol, who was slated to headline a series of dates this month for the festival, announced that because of the trouble that Lilith is having selling tickets, and the fact that she’s hard at work on her next studio album, she made the decision to pull out. Kelly wrote on her official website that she’s going to “miss seeing ya’ll,” but that she’s “stoked” about the forthcoming record.

BEYONCE AVOIDS INJURY IN CAR CRASH!
ContactMusic.com reports Beyonce Knowles escaped serious injury after the door to her Mercedes was ripped off by a speeding taxi in London. The “Halo” singer was on her way to a romantic dinner with her husband, Jay- Z, right before the incident occurred. She was going to visit a Harrods store just before the taxi side-swiped the door from its hinges. On-lookers say the car missed Beyonce by just a few centimeters. A source spilled, “She seemed very shaken and was lucky to be alive.” Later in the day, the couple appeared to be relaxed and happy at a Japanese restaurant called Zuma.
NICKI ANNOUNCES RELEASE DATE FOR DEBUT ALBUM
After appearing as a feature on multiple songs for numerous artists, Nicki Minaj is prepared to stand alone on her untitled debut album. The leading lady of Young Money just announced on Twitter that her upcoming disc will be available on November 23rd. Led by her number one single “Your Love,” the project will receive contributions from mega producer Swizz Beatz. The hitmaker recently told MTV News, “Nicki is an amazing writer. She wrote her own choruses, and she’s doing some amazing things.”
Nicki recently told MTV that she intends to introduce her alter ego, “Roman Zolanski,” on the project.

RIHANNA AND ALICIA KEYS ASK FANS TO HELP SAVE A LIFE
According to People Magazine, Rihanna and Alicia Keys are teaming up to help a girl who needs a bone marrow transplant to live. Eleven-year-old Shannon Tavarez played the young “Nala” in The Lion King on Broadway before being diagnosed with an acute form of leukemia. Keys says she was touched when she visited Tavarez on July 2nd in the Long Island hospital where she receives daily chemotherapy treatments. Rihanna seconds that sentiment, saying Tavarez should be back on the Broadway stage and not confined to a bed fighting for her life. Both Keys and Rihanna are urging their fans to register as bone marrow donors to give the gift of life.
RUNNER RUNNER TO MAKE NETWORK TV DEBUT
Runner Runner will make its network television debut on Tuesday, July 20th when the band guests on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. The band will perform their new single “So Obvious” as well as the track “Paper Cuts,” both from the band’s self-titled debut album, which will be released in September. Runner Runner will release their debut record on September 28th. The band kicks off a huge summer tour with Secondhand Serenade and White Tie Affair on July 17th in Utah. Jimmy Kimmel Live airs at 12:05 AM Eastern.

Kanye West is sacrificing his relationship with Amber Rose to deliver quality music on his upcoming album, Good Ass Job. The couple has reportedly taken a “break.” According to Us Magazine, a source spilled that ‘Ye “is consumed with recording his comeback record in Hawaii and had to shut it all off. When he’s in work mode, he can’t handle a relationship. He told Amber he needs to devote everything right now to his craft.” The source added that they’re “still good friends” and could potentially get back together soon.
The news comes just days after Rose allegedly made out with New Orleans Saint Reggie Bush over the Fourth of July weekend in The Hamptons.

Chris Brown’s career is looking up ever since he performed the Michael Jackson tribute at the BET Awards. In fact, the crooner has linked up with Keyshia Cole to record a new song. Amy Winehouse’s ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil didn’t get anything from her when they filed for divorce. Blake told British magazine New that he “never asked” for money, even though his lawyer said he was an “idiot.” Winehouse and Fielder-Civil split up last year.
NO WINEHOUSE ALBUM IN 2010
There have been rumors about Amy Winehouse releasing the highly anticipated follow-up to her hit 2006 album Back to Black sometime in 2010, but apparently, that’s no longer the case. Producer Mark Ronson told British paper the Daily Mail that “Amy hasn’t begun working on her next record yet. When she’s got 10 songs, we’ll go down to the studio together.” Looks like seeing a new album from Winehouse in 2011 is much more likely.
VANESSA CARLTON DOG ATTACK UPDATE
Vanessa Carlton was bitten by a nine-month-old pit bull named Bella in early May, and on Wednesday she went to court to try and have it put to sleep. In spite of Carlton’s testimony, in which she said the dog attacked her while she was out jogging in Milford, Pennsylvania, a judge ruled that the pup could have a second chance at life, saying that the animal should not be classified as dangerous. According to PAHomepage.com, Carlton said that she wanted to pursue the case because she wouldn’t be able to live with herself if the dog attacked someone else.

Lenny Kravitz is going to be appearing on CBS’s The Early Show this morning. The singer-songwriter will be giving a tour of the Gulf Coast, which of course has been devastated by an oil spill. Kravitz’s segment will air at 8 AM Eastern.
