John Carpenter and his musical foils Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies have just shared “Rampage,” the second taste of their original score for the fiercely anticipated motion picture Halloween Kills. “Rampage” speaks to the creative synergy the trio have amassed over the past six years of creative collaboration, updating Halloween’s familiar breath-stealing sense of menace and sinister synth tones with a broader sonic palette and an even deeper sense of musicality. The trio previously shared “Unkillable,” one of the most unsettling cues in all of Carpenter’s oeuvre. As a pair the songs make clear the breadth of ominosity on the score; both staying true to the spirit of what made the original 1978 film great while also bringing it firmly into the present.

Today, September 8th, Oxford based duo pecq share new single ‘Over & Over’, their first new music since releasing their debut EP ‘Stranger’ earlier this year.
Opening with a jagged, glitchy piano sample, ‘Over & Over’ is a pulsating cut of alternative pop, full of gorgeous synths and ethereal vocals. The song allows the pair (real names Nikò O’Brien and Hannah ‘Jakes’ Jacobs) to flex their sizeable production chops, drawing on their love of alt-pop, psych and experimental electronic music.

Cherie Amour share new single and announce debut EP
Today, Baltimore-based nu-punk band Cherie Amour have announced their debut EP, Internal Discussions, set for release October 1st on Equal Vision Records. The band has also shared their new single and video, “A Beautiful Mess, A Perfect Disaster” to coincide with the announcement. On the track, the group has created a lush, pop-punk-driven sound highlighted by lyrics about desiring something that feels out of reach. The video for the song was directed by guitarist Casey Reid and plays into the emotional inner conflict found throughout the EP.
Jim Lindberg Shares New Single “The Palm of Your Hand”
Most known for his role as songwriter and lead singer of punk rock band Pennywise, Jim Lindberg has been making inspiring, thought-provoking music since the 1990’s. Musically, he is influenced by an array of genres from punk and folk music to old school country and americana. Lyrically, Jim takes inspiration anywhere from transcendental philosophers to real-life events; seeking always to tell a story or find the answers to life’s big questions. Today, Lindberg shares the first glimpse of his acoustic solo project with the track “The Palm of Your Hand” produced by Ted Hutt (The Gaslight Anthem, Lucero, Flogging Molly). The track features David Hidalgo Jr. (Social Distortion) on drums, Joe Gittleman (The Mighty, Mighty BossTones, Avoid One Thing) on bass, and Marc Orrell (The Dropkick Murphy’s, The Walker Roaders) on guitar.
