“I’m very pleased to announce that our new video “The Dark”, which will be released on the 4th of June (2021), across all major platforms. This song talks about death, obscurity and the “nothing”. It’s about feeling confused and betrayed, and someone that’s losing his essence. Without a consciousness, and with no purpose in our lives, we’re just a bunch of roamers taking a road to the abyss, and that leads us to the dark and lashes us to insignificant beings floating in “the nothing”. Can’t wait for its release!”

Today, The Flatlanders, the iconic Texas-based trio of Butch Hancock, Joe Ely, and Jimmie Dale Gilmore announced their first album of newly recorded music in more than 12 years. Treasure of Love will be released on July 9 via Rack’em Records/Thirty Tigers. The band released the album’s first single “Sittin’ On Top of the World,” which is well known by fans of the Flatlanders to be one of their most notable show closers.

The Tin Can Collective is a Long Island based emo punk band set to release their fourth album, Axiomatic Alarm Clock on July 16th 2021. (Two of the founding members are also siblings!) Always earnest and full of intent, the band is considered a “band’s band” because of their cult following and chaotic live shows. Today, May 7th, New Model Army’s founder and singer/songwriter Justin Sullivan unveils his third single ‘Unforgiven’, taken from his highly anticipated new studio album Surrounded, the first in 18 years, and second solo album overall.
“Somebody’s Song” is dedicated to those who have hurt you in the past, a cathartic expression of the feelings of betrayal and loss. Coming off of their February release of “Don’t Let Me Catch You,” along with a hilariously twisted video that fans of the band’s dark humor found comfortingly familiar. Now the band has prepped the release of another new single that takes its emotional content a little more seriously and straight-faced. “Let Me Let Go,” is a reverb drenched tune that kicks in with bouncy indie pop and explodes into fuzzed out garage rock by the first chorus. Created in his producer/collaborator Bedroom’s basement, Emanuel recalls that the lyrics “floated up to the surface” as “Worldwide” spontaneously took shape: “During that time, we were really dreaming out loud in the way that we would talk about our futures and in the way that we were trying to summon this grand reality.
