John Fleckenstein has been elevated to Chief Operating Officer, where, in addition to his current duties, he takes on more of the Company’s day-to-day business oversight.
Both executives will continue to report to Peter Edge, Chairman & CEO, RCA Records.

carolesdaughter Debuts Video For “Violent” Today Via Arista Records
18-year-old alt-pop artist carolesdaughter, aka Thea Taylor, releases a striking music video for her explosive single, “Violent” today. The gothic-styled video was shot in a Victorian house in Los Angeles and follows a stunning lyric video of the track that has already accumulated well over 500K views.
“Violent” has struck a chord. After buzzing with previous releases, “cold bathroom floor” and “my mother wants me dead,” carolesdaughter wrote the track over a somber beat laden with 808s and creaky acoustic guitar and conjured up vengeful lyrics through softly sweet delivery. After uploading it to Soundcloud, the song quickly racked up two million streams. Currently, ‘Violent” has over 25 million total streams across platforms.

One of the tracks that inspired Around the World @ the Speed of Light, the imminent Album by Bwana Iguana, was an experiment using his collection of traditional African instruments. He took one of his kalimbas and tuned it to a western eight note major scale. While playing around with it, he pulled out the iconic riff for CCR’s epic song “Born on the Bayou.” He grabbed several other instruments – a wood block, a djembe, and a bamboo flute and went into the studio.
