Welltory fitness and health trackers are designed to provide information that promotes an active and healthy lifestyle. Welltory fitness trackers get information from sensors that track your activity and other metrics. The information or data, these App provides keenly estimates your saved activities and measured values as precisely as possible and is an accurate heart rate monitor system. This includes data on the number of steps, sleep, distance, heart rate and calorie consumption. Welltory fitness trackers are not medical devices, and the data they provide are not intended for medical use, including the diagnosis, treatment, cure, or prevention of any disease. We recommend that you seek advice from a doctor before beginning any exercise program. Moreover, the Welltory App offers you to monitor your heart rate, track blood pressure, measure your workout intensity and sleep hours. You can also check heart rate on iPhone using Welltory App.
- Wrist heart rate accuracy (Elevate)
The optical heart rate monitor sensor for Welltory App is a helpful tool that can provide an accurate calculation of the user’s heart rate at any time. The aim of the optical heart rate sensor is to try to record the heart rate of the user around the clock. The frequency of heart rate measurement depends on how active the user is. Also, when you start an optical heart rate activity with Samsung heart rate monitor device, the optical heart rate sensor and HRM sensor provide data more frequently because the optical sensor is on all the time and tries to continuously measure your heart rate during a certain phase of the activity. This is intended to provide the user with more frequent and more accurate heart rate data during a particular activity.
Wrist heart rate measurement is state-of-the-art technology. However, there are inherent limitations in this technology that, under certain circumstances, can result in inaccurate heart rate measurements. These circumstances include the physical characteristics of the user, the location of the device, and the type and intensity of the activity as noted above. The heart rate monitor data is not intended for medical use, nor is it intended to diagnose, prevent, cure or treat any disease or condition.
We recommend using the HRM sensor (the best HRM for iPhone) heart rate monitor with compatible devices for the most accurate heart rate measurement while swimming. Heart rate measurement on the wrist while swimming is not possible on some wearables for technical reasons. Welltory recommends that you monitor your wrist heart rate while swimming if your wearable has a swimming activity profile that allows wrist heart rate monitoring. The product description of the wearable indicates whether the device has an activity profile for swimming that supports activation of the heart rate measurement on the wrist. On some older devices, wrist heart rate measurement is deliberately deactivated in activity profiles for swimming.
- Accuracy of pulse oximetry measured on the wrist
Pulse oximetry data is available on select wearables. They are used to calculate the oxygen saturation of the blood (SpO2%) when using the function. With the appropriate setting, the function also enables continuous measurement while the user is sleeping. With certain devices, this function enables regular measurements during the day. At the same time, the height of the user is also displayed.
While we strive to ensure a high level of accuracy, certain limitations may cause inaccurate readings. The physical characteristics of the user, the location of the device and any ambient light that may be present can affect the measurements. Over time, device software may be used to optimize aspects of the measurements. Pulse oximetry data is not intended for medical use, nor is it intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.
Excessive movement and the fit of the device can affect the accuracy of the readings. It is important that the arm / sensor is held still for about a minute to optimize accuracy.
