Perfume Announce Amazon Music Global Campaign Around New Single “Time Warp”!
Perfume have a much anticipated new single, “Time Warp” and video hitting TODAY. In recognition of their 15thmajor label anniversary, the trio have teamed up with Amazon Music for a global campaign to celebrate! Starting Sep. 16th for 48 hours in the US, if you ask Alexa to “play the new song by Perfume,” Perfume will introduce the song in English. This English version is only available for fans in the US and also in France. In addition to the extensive confirmed campaign in their homeland Japan, Amazon Music will be taking the girls international with a billboard in New York’s Times Square set to run from Sep. 18th – 24th.
Suzi Ragsdale Drops Video For “Live Until You Die”
If there were resumés for musicians, Suzi Ragsdale’s would certainly end up on the top of the stack. After taking part in her first recording session while in kindergarten, Ragsdale has been on a wild ride through the music industry where she’s written songs for the likes of Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert, sang background on recordings for everyone from Loretta Lynn to Hank Williams Jr., and toured as a member in the bands of iconic songwriters Guy Clark and Darrell Scott; and that’s not even mentioning Ragsdale’s own albums she’s released since her two duet records with Verlon Thompson in 1993 and 1995. Now, in 2020, it’s been a decade since Ragsdale has released her own music, but that only magnifies the refreshing and reassuring wisdom, compassion, and humor of her new EP, Ghost Town. Out everywhere on October 9th, Ghost Town is delivered in a wild-honey-coated voice that echoes Ragsdale’s Southern roots; an all-encompassing expression of the mind-body-spirit connection that speaks right to the heart. Today, Twangville premiered the video for Ghost Town’s second single, “Live Until You Die,” likening the song to “something Simon & Garfunkel would have done,” noting that this EP, her first release in 10 years, is “worth the wait.”

THE TROOPS OF DOOM features guitarist Jairo “Tormentor” Guedz, current member of The Mist as well as a former member of Sepultura’s original lineup playing author and co-author to the classic albums Bestial Devastation and Morbid Visions and having also collaborated on some of Schizophrenia’s compositions. Joining Guedz is bassist/vocalist Alex Kafer (Enterro, Explicit Hate, ex-Necromancer), drummer Alexandre Oliveira (Southern Blacklist, Raising Conviction), and guitarist Marcelo Vasco (Patria, Mysteriis, acclaimed graphic artist for the legendary likes of Slayer, Kreator, Machine Head, Soulfly, and Hatebreed). THE TROOPS OF DOOM’s goal is to revisit the essence of ’80s style death metal, exploring a more primitive sound that takes listeners back to that era, while remaining fresh and genuine.

Oslo low-fi pop artist Boy Made Flower pays homage to Ted Mosby
Boy Made Flower aka Henrik Lund is a lo-fi pop artist from Oslo who channels everything from the lyrical flow of Mac Miller and Jaden to the sombre vocal melodies of Eden and boy pablo.
Themed around his favourite American sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’, the new playful bop ‘Ted Mosby’ sees Lund use the main character as a metaphor for dealing with a depleting sense of hope in relationships and love.
Reminiscing how he felt when the show ended in 2014, he wonders ‘where’d you go, Mosby? Forming a colourful sound palette of sonic synths and harmonic punchy rhythms, the new number compliments his dreamy vocal hooks.
Beginning as a modern bedtime prayer and ending with a tender goodnight message to his fans, the song is anchored by bristling guitars that echo the mounting pressures that his generation faces. Charting a course from inner turmoil to self-acceptance, YUNGBLUD creates a soaring, transcendent anthem in the process. He co-produced the track with longtime collaborators Chris Greatti (Poppy, Grimes) and Zakk Cervini (Bishop Briggs, Machine Gun Kelly).
