FORMING THE VOID: exotic and doomy new single “Manifest” streaming now!
The band tells us more about the song: “Manifest is about having a passion, having a purpose, then going to war with it. It features an Oud intro. The Oud is a fretless Middle Eastern lute which is an early ancestor of the guitar. Since our first album we have wanted to incorporate one in a recording, and the droning yet melodic qualities of this song made it a natural fit. This song went through many stages of evolution from its early stages to its final form, and it embodies much of what we intended to achieve artistically on the album.”

“Last year I moved back to England. The song feels gritty and raw because that’s how I felt being back home in that environment. ABBY SAGE REVEALS STELLAR DEBUT OFFERING “HOLY WATER”
“Let me breathe before you come and burn my lungs.” I wrote this line in reference to the way I would fall into various relationships relatively unprepared without a full sense of self intact. For a while, I found myself actively avoiding love and deeper connection because I felt like I owed it to myself to prioritize my growth and my wellbeing. When I really analyzed these feelings over summer and began incorporating them into my writing, I found balance. Holy Water is a reminder that no matter how warm and fulfilling love can be, I am my own power first and it is my responsibility to ensure my mind and body are taken care of before pouring myself into anything else.
