Temps, the 40-strong international music collective devised, curated and produced by James Acaster, release their anticipated debut album PARTY GATOR PURGATORY on May 19 via Bella Union. Having recently been the subject of an extensive feature in The Guardian, today Temps share a video for new single “ificouldjust” featuring Yoni Wolf, Quelle Chris, Shamir, Montaigne and Ami Dang. Commenting on the track James Acaster says: “Like all of us, the party gator often wishes they possessed a little more self-motivation but instead they find themselves repeating the same behavior for what feels like the rest of time. Carl Baldassarre: Lyric video for Zeppelin-inspired track ‘Sands of Tarifa’ from guitarist/composer

The song is taken from his solo inaugural album, GRAND BOULEVARD, due out on April 28th. Motivated by his lifelong passion and musicological study of the mighty Led Zeppelin, “Sands of Tarifa,” echoes the exotic Middle Eastern sound captured in “Kashmir”. Recorded at London’s famed Abbey Road Studios, the song also features the London Symphony Orchestra. Of “Sands of Tarifa,” Baldassarre explains it is, “Inspired by a vision I had while spending time on the beaches in of Tarifa, Spain (the southernmost point of Europe). From that vantage point, you can see Northern Africa and Morocco”.
