Bread Pilot today shared their new single “Eye Listening,” the second from their forthcoming album New To You, due out May 27th via Double Double Whammy. Of the sinuous track, which moves from a tenderly intricate intro to a howling close, singer/guitarist Taylor Hayden said it’s “a love song written quickly in summer of 2013. Chet Baughman came in and played saxophone that brought a lifting sadness to it. The end makes me feel like I’m being lightly taken by the wind. The lyrics kind of skirt around the topic of the song, but as it progresses the lyrics begin to feel a little more clear and vulnerable, and by the end he just says what’s on his mind: ‘Say you want me.’” New To You is now available for pre-order.

TV Priest announce new album ‘My Other People’, and share new single ‘Bury Me In My Shoes’, plus confirm UK Tour and record in-store performances | ‘My Other People’ out 17th June via Sub Pop Records

Frontman Charlie Drinkwater says of the album, “My Other People is a more “open’” set of songs, both musically and in our themes; in the process of writing we found ourselves talking about things other than anger or aggression. We wanted to discuss love, loss and joy too. It’s a record about personal disintegration and destruction, but also rebuilding again after this. It’s also heavily rooted in place, the music being a very direct response to Britain and England in 2021, but in a more abstract and textural sense. A muddy field viewed from a train window between cities, a patch of wild flowers growing next to a motorway, sticky carpets in a suburban flat roof pub, pissing rain on an August bank holiday and the smell of diesel in an out of town supermarket car park. An angry, hopeful, shitty, beautiful island.”

London’s Oliver Marson shares new “Manipulator” video/single produced by Joshua Rumble (Black Country, New Road)

The track was produced by Joshua Rumble (Black Country, New Road) and was mixed by Jorge Elbrecht (Kirin J Callinan, No Joy). Regarding the single/video, Oliver stated that “The first line of the song and overarching message is that ‘we’re sleepwalking with the loonies at the wheel’ and we tried to get across this in the video through me playing a dodgy Wall Street banker. Obvious influences being American Psycho, Donald Trump, Boris Johnson, Wall Street, and A Shock to the System. I enjoyed very much performing as this campy character, it was fun and I loved the DIY approach we took to filming it.”
