GHOST: NEW ALBUM, IMPERA, OUT MARCH 11 ON LOMA VISTA RECORDINGS

“We’re building our empire from the ashes of an old” as GRAMMY-winning Swedish theatrical rock outfit GHOST announces the impending arrival of IMPERA the band’s fifth full length studio album out March 11 via Loma Vista Recordings.

IMPERA is heralded by today’s release of its first official single, the sublime and haunting “Call Me Little Sunshine,” available now across digital platforms—and as a phantasmagoric visual interpretation lensed by iconic director Matt Mahurin and starring Ruby Modine. The album will also feature “Hunter’s Moon,” Ghost’s fourth consecutive Active Rock #1 radio single, as heard over the end credits of the horror smash Halloween Kills—and manifesting physically in the form of a 7″ vinyl single release this Friday, January 21.

Berlin-based guitarist/producer RIP Swirl + Rising Danish vocalist Ydegirl debut song

Rising Hamburg-born, Berlin-based guitarist and producer RIP Swirl’s debut album, Blurry, is due February 25 on Munich label Public Possession.

Recorded in his home studio in Berlin, Blurry finds RIP Swirl, born Luka Seifert, bridging the distance between his roles as a producer/DJ/party curator in the city’s club scene and the textural quilt of his cassette-based approach to recording. At the center of it all is the guitar that has been with him since age 12.

PUSSY RIOT RELEASES “PUNISH” (CO-WRITTEN BY TOVE LO) + ON TOUR WITH MARINA (AND THE DIAMONDS) IN FEBRUARY + MARCH

Today, Russian protest art collective Pussy Riot’s release “PUNISH”, a powerful pop knockout, co-written by the Swedish Grammy-nominated artist Tove Lo, who assumes the role of executive producer for the forthcoming project as well. The song was made available to NFT collectors as a 69 piece limited edition series via the Sound.xyz platform yesterday, with all 69 selling out in 20 seconds. “PUNISH” comes complete with a visual by Berlin-based 3D artist Ksti Hu and is released ahead of Pussy Riot’s forthcoming US tour supporting MARINA in February and March. The project will be released via Neon Gold Records (Charli XCX, MARINA, Christine and the Queens etc) later this year.
