Today, innovative rock n’ rollers Foxy Shazam shared their new song and cinematic video “Dancing With My Demons”, which will appear on their upcoming album The Heart Behead You. “Dancing With My Demons” clocks in at 4:30 of caustic rock – the kind of tune that only Foxy could pull off with a flair that is equally effervescent and haunting. The vocals are soaring and theatrical, underpinned by a powerful performance from the band through a symphony of horns, guitars, and drums that add emphasis to the swirling theme of the track.

The Mary Veils Announce Debut LP, Share “Bone Blossom Green” Single via Glide | ‘Esoteric Hex’ LP Due March 25 via PNKSLM Recordings

Today, Philadelphia garage punk four-piece The Mary Veils have announced their debut LP, Esoteric Hex, due March 25 via PNKSLM Recordings. Alongside the announcement, they have shared the record’s first single, “Bone Blossom Green.”

Speaking on the track, the band wrote:

“‘Bone Blossom Green’ was based off a riff we had floating around for awhile. Originally we thought it would just be that main riff, for the entirety of the song but it kind of took a different turn while writing. It was one of the more challenging ones for us to finish, but we think it really showcases us as a band, and in a way highlights how we’ve developed musical and what our sound has become.”

Josienne Clarke changes direction on new single ‘Workhorse’

Today, award-winning singer, songwriter and producer Josienne Clarke has shared ‘Workhorse’, the second cut to be taken from her forthcoming EP I Promised You Light. ‘Workhorse’ is one of the most experimental tracks of Clarke’s career to date, with Sharon Van Etten and Sylvan Esso being the song’s musical touchstones. “This is the most joyous one on [the new EP], to me,” Clarke says of the song which she describes as a “weird dance acoustic mashup.” The song’s video, by Alec Bowman_Clarke, sees the artist roller-skating at a silent disco to emphasise the sheer joy of the track. “It’s just me in a massive room with loads of disco lights with silent disco headphones on just messing about to my own positivity anthem,” she smiles.
