Blu Ernest takes shots on intoxicating R&B joint ‘Dodged A Bullet’
Following the success of ‘The Chill’, the Brighton-based newcomer takes aim in ’22 with an intoxicating debut release from his forthcoming ‘____ On My Mind’ project. Entirely self-produced, ‘Dodged A Bullet’ is a fist-swinging frenzy of gritty 808’s and R&B knocks, soaked in the melancholy of Blu’s sultry harmonies and vocal runs. It’s about stumbling upon your ex at your local bar, and the bittersweet feelings that ensue.

VANIR release video/single “Dødsfærd”
“Dødsfærd” (deaths journey) is the first single and video on the forthcoming 6th album by Viking melodic death metal band VANIR. The song takes its inspiration from the Words of Hávi (the High One) as a reminder that all our actions echo in death for our legacies to be judged by. TURKEY VULTURE Release New Video
Connecticut rockers TURKEY VULTURE have released a video for their song “She’s Married (But Not to Me”) via Ghost Cult Magazine. The song is from their EP Twist the Knife which is out on January 14th.
Drummer Jim Clegg comments:
“When it came time to make a new music video, the plan was to hopefully film it at a bar. Luckily, Jess and I are members of one and that worked out. Darin Guerrasio is a childhood friend, a groomsman in our wedding, actor (Wall Street 2, Daredevil) and director (Wake, Apocalypse Live). We made movies growing up and got into some festivals in the early 2000s, and it’s been since then since we’ve creatively worked together. It was great fun working with him again, and we look forward to hopefully collaborate on some new projects in the future.”

Aschenvater – Release Lyric Video For “Sturmreif // Der Verräterkönig”
The band name “Aschenvater” is inspired by the universe of Warhammer 40K, which also serves as content for our first EP named Landungsfeldmassaker. It is about a battle on Istvaan V, the drop site massacre (Landungsfeldmassaker). The sound is raw and destructive, like the rotting battlefields.

Recorded at Echo Zoo studios, produced by the band’s guitarist Theo Verney – known for his production work for FEET, English Teacher, FUR and Home Counties (and engineered by Christoph Skirl), “Reset My Password” bursts into focus amidst rolling percussion, searing guitars and fizzing synths, with singer Seb Gilmore’s affirming his appreciation for his own employment status, whilst being distinctly aware of the trivial nature of ‘adhering to company policy’. A cacophonous blast of agitated indie-punk, “Reset My Password” fuses the energy of naughties indie with the ferocity of modern post-punk to irresistible effect.
