EARL SWEATSHIRT ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM ‘SICK!’ WITH NEW SINGLE & VIDEO “TABULA RASA”
“Tabula Rasa” is a slow-burning cypher that finds Earl and Billy Woods and Elucid of Armand Hammer laying evocative verses over a looped soul sample running nearly 5 minutes in length. The Josh-directed video shows the process of the track’s recording in a one-shot take. Elucid recites his verse in the recording booth before Billy Woods leads viewers outside for his verse. The camera then moves into the studio where Earl is seen alongside the track’s producer, Alchemist, and Boldy James as he performs the final verse.

Sweden’s Henning goes instrumental
The Swedish singer, songwriter and guitarist Henning will release his fourth studio album “Skymningsmusik för dagdrömmare” in April 2022. The artist, who’s known in his home land for his guitar driven, Dire Straits- inspired poprock with Swedish lyrics, has created something quite different from what he’s done before. “Skymningsmusik för dagdrömmare” is a 10 track long, completely instrumental album. With the help from his associated musicians, Henning paints atmospheric, cinematic, and colorful soundscapes where saxophones, mandolins, pianos, and organs complement Henning’s folk inspired, gentle guitar melodies. The album is a dreamlike experience, and can in many ways be seen as one long song, rather than a collection of individual tracks.

About the song, Lucas said: “I started writing this song on a train to South Tyrol last February amidst a really big touring schedule. I’d played 30 shows over the past two months and was pretty exhausted. Watching the mountains and valleys pass by the window instead of checking emails, I kind of got lulled into this state of meditation. It made me think of other times I’d felt this way over the past year. I scribbled out a timeline, and the words and melody started to roll around in my head.
