Ohio’s Bill $haft “Creates “Distance” With New Album
Ohio’s sluggish, wasted, and sedated Bill $haft is a versatile rapper influenced by Mac Miller, Earl Sweatshirt, Wu Tang, Pro Era, and Pink Floyd with an upcoming headlining show in Columbus, OH on November 20th. His latest album Distance is a seven-track story of a toxic relationship ending. “The single 4:42 is a voice message left to a crazy ex that comes and goes in and out of my life” says Bill. Two of Florida’s most exciting bass artists Evalution and Steller unite on Bassrush Records to write a love letter to their hometown state. “FL Sound” is a womp-filled dubstep heater fusing blazed-out bars with slow-burning beats, hazy melodies, and oscillating wonks. Steller made her debut on Bassrush via the Discovery Project hosted Discover: Dubstep compilation alongside another high-flying female Jinx on their collab “Cosmic Haze”. Then, she connected with Jessica Audiffred on “The King Is Dead,” serving as the official anthem for Florida’s bass festival Forbidden Kingdom.
The collab lands just a week before the two gear up to take the stage for their respective performances at this year’s EDC Orlando.

I’m known for a good slow and mid-tempo tune, but I wanted to go in a different direction with this! Joiliyah Melodygod produced a fire upbeat groove that literally had the lyrics spilling out of me. “I’m Gone” is such a statement! I hope you connect with the words and get inspired to say no more! No to anything that does not align with your truth! Don’t underestimate the beauty and strength of your own voice.
Sea Lemon Shares Single “Sunday” Via Glide, Debut EP Out 2022
Today, Seattle-based Sea Lemon (Natalie Lew) shares her first release “Sunday” via Glide alongside features in Earmilk, Birp, and Clout. An uptempo dreampop song about the dichotomy of how easy it be to sabotage relationships—friendships and romantic relationships alike—and how, from the outside, those ‘sabotaged’ in relationships often aren’t privy to the fact that there’s an issue in the first place.
Produced by GRAMMY-Award winning artist Chance McCoy (Old Crow Medicine Show) and featuring guitar from virtuoso Laur Joamets (Sturgill Simpson), Hunter Springs Road (which is named after the street McCoy’s West Virginia studio is located on) is a collection of songs about home, restlessness and homesickness. The EP showcases the most vivid of the countless songs Sam Phelps wrote over the past year in lockdown, and the singer-songwriter’s open-hearted storytelling is on full display.
A long-time affiliate of the Wu-Tang Clan, Remedy first appeared on, Wu-Tang Killa Bees: The Swarm, album. While the project went Gold and experienced great success, his contribution, “Never Again,” remains a high-water mark from the album. “Never Again” is a Holocaust education in four minutes; and it has been added to high-school and college curriculums. The verses were personal, inspired by the murdered and the survivors, including members of Remedy’s family. He presented more truth than most college textbooks, and made a song that reached millions, moving many of them to tears.
The members of Seattle rock’n’roll outfit Acid Tongue are quite literally bouncing off the walls. In fact, it’s hard to even call them a “Seattle band.” There’s the core duo of songwriter Keltner and drummer/vocalist Ian Cunningham —currently based in the Pacific Northwest — but with numerous touring and studio musicians scattered between Paris, New York, London, Mexico City, Los Angeles, & Austin, the rotating roster seems to grow larger by the day. The band’s forthcoming release, Arboretum, takes things in the next logical direction. Part glam-rock opus, part mixtape, this LP from Acid Tongue marks a significant step forward for a band well-versed in straddling the line between psychedelia and power-pop.
Jeff Brown and Still Lonesome Release Lyric Video and New Gospel Single “He Performed Miracles”
Co-written and produced by Wayne Taylor of the Grammy nominated band Blue Highway, this new Gospel single from Jeff Brown and Still Lonesome brings a powerful message. “It’s a song that I had started writing a long time ago,” states Jeff Brown. “When Wayne (Taylor) and I started putting together the material for this album, I knew he was the right person to finish it out. He’s been there, just like I have and seen God work.”
Mexican-American vocalist, and singer-songwriter, Lisa Morales is proud to announce her new single “Freedom” is out now. This is the first single from her highly anticipated third solo album She Ought To Be King. The Texas-based artist calls on people to come together in these stressful personal and political times. She demands people’s rights and paints everyday portraits of the pressures of motherhood and womanhood.
Murray adds – “I have no problem with an individuals personal belief in a God or gods. Everyone has the right to think what they want to think even if they are wrong. This song is not about personal belief, it’s about the institution of Christianity established by the Roman emperor Constantine Flavius around 300 AD. It is an institution of social control built on hypocrisy that has been a haven for murderers and child molesters since it’s beginning. A god that measures your faith by how much you will suffer for him is no god of mine.”
