DEAD SPACE CHAMBER MUSIC: Bristol doomy medieval/neo-folk avant-gardists share new track + Announce new album ‘The Black Hours’ out December 03

Bristol avant/dark neo-folk cohort Dead Space Chamber Music have announced their sophomore album, The Black Hours, which will be out 03rd December 2021. The Black Hours carried the band through the strange journey of the pandemic, resonating with the theme and visuals of the album. The entire record is a reference to a medieval illuminated manuscript of the same name, a unique and intimate book of prayers to mark The Liturgy of the Hours, or The Office of the Dead.

Greensky Bluegrass share new song ‘Grow Together’ – plus 2022 winter tour dates announced

The new song was written by Paul Hoffman upon the arrival of his daughter. “I wrote this with my 5-week-old daughter at my feet. She laid there and listened, so content. I hoped this was the first of many experiences like this for her and I,” Hoffman told The Boot. “I reflected on the amazing gift her mother had given me and ‘Grow Together’ just fell out of my heart,” Hoffman continues. “It’s a testament to a new chapter in my life and a love song for the woman who made me a father.”

“This song terrifies me, but I feel more hungry for honesty than I ever have in my life before and that hunger is carrying me to a much more personal anchor in my songwriting,” said Townes. “I’ve come to know the Villain in my head very well over this past year and a bit. The lonely time at home forced me to sit in the uncomfortable and vulnerable emotions and this song is a safe place for me to be open about it. It’s not something I like to talk about but writing and singing about it makes it easier.”

corook would rather be a sim, literally

Co-written with Caroline Pennell (Demi Lovato, Hailee Steinfeld, Selena Gomez) and Lauren Aquilina (Demi Lovato, Olivia O’Brien, Ava Max) and self-produced by corook, “sims” sees the Nashville-based alt-pop artist creating a genre-busting, undeniable sound all her own, fusing 64-bit bleeps and bloops with a head-nodding beat, glitchy guitar, and clever lyrics in both English and Simlish.

Priscilla Block Releases New Song “Peaked In High School” Today

“I was the girl that had no interest in doing things how everybody else did them,” Block shares with PEOPLE. “This song kinda just goes out to anybody that that’s ever made me feel not enough. And to any young people out there, people tell you that high school will be some of the best years of your life. I am living proof that it is not. I wish I knew that back in the day. I would have saved so many fricking tears.”

James wrote the majority of the album in lockdown in his home in Surrey. His foresight in building a studio and investing in industry-standard recording gear paid immediate dividends. Trusted collaborators like Andrew Jackson, which whom he’d written “Train Wreck,” were able to come to him. Because they were writing and recording at home rather than in a pricey commercial studio, the musicians could work, should they want to, round the clock, not to the clock.
