Track Submission, Released Today, from Expert Lovers

Expert Lovers are an alternative rock group putting the pop formula through electroshock therapy. The Los Angeles-based outfit puts the sweat of its live shows into its recordings, culminating in the latest single, “Blossom.” A heavy, pummeling track with bright vocal hooks and head-bobbing guitar lines, “Blossom” captures the euphoria of letting your innermost desires out into the light.

“The project has been in the works since the pandemic started, and when I thought of the title i hope u see this, I immediately knew that this is what I was going to call the project. Every track has a message that I felt needed to be heard,” says Thuy. “Songs like ‘chances’ and ‘figured u out’ are songs about my past heartbreaks and how much it taught me to be a better lover, especially to myself. ‘in my bag’ is a message to all the non-believers but more importantly, stands as an empowering anthem to myself. ‘universe’ and ‘u got me’, are love notes.”

Audio Reveals The First Taste of [Unsocial]

‘[Unsocial]’ is the brand-new LP dropping from drum & bass producer Audio, a name which sent shockwaves across the community when it was announced he’d signed to influential imprint RAM Records. But his sixth album ‘[Unsocial]’ goes further than the sounds he’s cultivated over decades and instead sees him dig even deeper into what is at his core as an artist. After feeling a certain amount of pressure which came through writing big tracks of a certain style, the ongoing pandemic has helped him elevate himself out of the pigeonhole he’d found himself in whilst keeping him planted at his roots.

KILLBOY slows it down for today’s release of “SPACE.” Written and produced by KILLBOY, the track “breaks down what all toxic girls actually mean when they say, ‘I just need some space.'” It’s the second in a series of back-to-back singles dropping this fall. Earlier this month, the musical miscreant released the oh-so-relatable “I FUCK EVERYTHING UP.” Watch the cinematic official visual from the minds of co-directors KILLBOY and Whaterwhippin Evan.

Multifaceted Electro-Folk Singer-Songwriter Portair Shares “Lost In The Dark”

Today, alternative singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, graphic designer/artist, and producer Portair shares the official video for his retrospective new single, “Lost In The Dark.” The video features him wandering the abandoned halls of a cathedral while contemplating his religious upbringing.

He explains, “This song is written particularly about my childhood and my youth. I was raised in a very conservative and religious household, views I do not share now. It was written in a time where I felt so frustrated that I now have to learn and deal with things like depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and all the difficulties that come with that, from an upbringing that I had no control over. It is about my anger towards a lack of education in mental health and a cult-like teaching to live in fear or you will go to hell. It’s about feeling lost in the dark.”

James Blunt is ‘Unstoppable’!

“Making this song was probably one of my highlighted studio sessions in my career,” Peezy said regarding “Die Young”. “These days most artists send music to one another via email or text message, me and Omeretta got together in the studio and made magic. It helped that both of us came from similar backgrounds because that brought the real struggle feel mixed with that rich shit. We both came from nothing”

As with all of the live music industry, the last 18 months have seen a halt in live touring for Brisbane-based, touring DJs Mashd N Kutcher. BRS Kash Returns with Club-Ready New Single and Video, “I’m Hot ft. Chi Chi & Nick Papz”

On “I’m Hot,” Kash flexes his well-toned lyrical muscles, dropping lines about his come-up over a booming, chest-rattling instrumental: “I’m hot, I’m on fire, I’m blazin’, when I made ‘Throat Baby’ they looked at me crazy.” He’s confident without being cocky—a narrow tightrope that he walks with ease. The video begins with a Star Wars-like opening scroll, which reads: “A year after releasing ‘Throat Baby’ and making millions, BRS Kash has been on a constant quest around the globe to meet the world’s hottest women.” Kash then finds himself in the desert, surrounded by Mad Max-esque characters, searching for some lady friends and drifting around corners in a fast car.

Stream the new album from Naytronix (of Tune-Yards / ‘Sorry To Bother You’ composer)

In July of 2020, Nate Brenner had a serious running accident. “Okay so how do I still play bass?” was all he could think the whole way to the hospital. “Maybe I can prop it like this, or kinda play with this hand here…”

He returned home with a broken collar bone and dread for how long he might be forced to rest, like an athlete with a torn ACL.
