Mary Scholz Releases “Lonesome” Video In Time For Halloween
The eponymous “Lonesome” kicks off with a rambling blues lick that lends itself to the song’s brooding subject matter. “It’s about being stuck in your head and wishing someone else could pull you out. But deep down you know you’re the only one who can do that,” Scholz shared. The artist began testing this song on LA audiences two years ago and found that crowds immediately connected. “It’s a song for go-getters. Because when you’re in a rut all you want is to get going. But some days you just wish someone else could do it for you,” Scholz said.
“‘After You’ was written with Calle Lehmann, who I wrote “All You Need to Know” with, and Jason Ross – a long time friend and production collaborator” says Gryffin on the creation of the new record. “The song came together over a Zoom session with Calle, and evolved into what it now is after a few sessions in LA with Jason Ross. I immediately gravitated towards the record because of the nostalgic feeling it gave me, and felt it was the perfect follow up record with Calle.”
W.E.B.: “Dark Web” Video From Greek Symphonic Extreme Metal Collective Now Playing
Comments guitarist/vocalist Sakis Prekas, “‘Dark Web’ is both a play on the band’s name and music style, and the concept of the so-called hidden layer of the world wide web, and all the rumors about it: that you can purchase drugs, weapons, hitmen, or even kill people yourself there. This horrifying concept of such a reality combined with our understanding that the ones who rule this world look down on us as if we are slaves, or even ants, is what this song is about.”
