ZULA’s sugar-sweet vocals whisper 5am epiphanies over glue70’s molten beats.

It encompasses that “it comes in waves” feeling we get as humans. We have to ride them out.”

Every Time I Die Unleash ‘Radical’ + Share Video for “Thing With Feathers”
Radical, the highly anticipated ninth studio album from hardcore heroes Every Time I Die is out now via Epitaph Records.
As the final single leading up to his highly anticipated E.P. release, “Stars” is a triumphant follow up to previous teasers “Cascade” and “Used To Say.” This single tells the story of embracing yourself for who you are; invigorating, joyful instrumentation leads this track through an emotional swell, to a triumphant ending. For Matthew, the origins of this song are rooted in the discomfort of feeling stuck at a certain point in his life. Caressed by the colorful harmony of layered acoustic guitar coupled with a subtle, yet energizing beat, “Stars” enthralls listeners through the ebbs and flows of an tenderly introspective journey of self-growth.
Written and recorded during late 2020 and early 2021, “Checkered Past” sees Tracii Guns, Phil Lewis, and company continuing with the darker lyrical tone of the preceding studio albums, “The Devil You Know” and “The Missing Peace”, while incorporating their classic rock influences into the mix. Heavier songs are mixed with bluesier, boogie inducing tracks and dark, introspective ballads, often harkening back to the first three albums the band made, but also pushing the band forward. When fans absorb the album as a whole, they’ll see that the tracklisting is divided up into ‘sets’ or ‘suites’, where a sonic style is explored across multiple songs before moving on to the next, making for a remarkable listening experience.
