Genre Bending Artist Blacklite District Released His Music Video For New Single “Gotta Get Outta Here” Following A Premiere With Metal Insider

When asked about his new rock album, Blacklite District said, “1990 is the album I’ve wanted to make for a long time, and Brett Hestla (Creed) helped me bring my vision to life. With this album, it wasn’t about how many more 808s or trap drums we could add to the song for ‘mainstream appeal,’ but more about making songs that we thought were epic in the studio and not worrying about what others had to say. I literally poured my heart and soul into this project, and it’s an album I know I can be proud of for a long time to come. It also features many riffs, ideas, lyrics, and melodies that I’ve had in my head for 15+ years in some cases. I also had a lot of special guests that have impacted my life. 1990 seemed like the perfect title since it’s my birth year, and this album seems like a complete reset for me, not just musically, but in life.”

Lukaijah “Lion Tribe”

A departure from previous projects, Lukaijah’s newest tracks focuses on self-empowerment and the act of healing through music. Raised in the eclectic San Francisco, he was enveloped in rich experiences and a myriad of musical influences as he picked up everything from piano composition to poetry. That learning eventually led him to the world of hip hop, where he used his unique background to craft compelling, lyrically interesting tracks. Now, he’s combined his love of hip hop, poetic muse, and a desire to inspire others into an unforgettable musical project set to be released in December of 2021.

Nadia Sheikh – soaring new indie/singer-songwriter single ‘Love Is Undefined’

“Sometimes love just turns into dust.” says Sheikh. “You realise things aren’t working out and you can’t keep on going on but you’re so afraid of hurting the other person that you end up hurting yourself. That’s what I tried to convey in Love Is Undefined. Here I’m at my most honest. It was a very cathartic song to write, a bit scary too as it’s so personal, but it helped me heal and I hope it can help anyone going through the same kind of situation.”

YOUNGBOY NEVER BROKE AGAIN SIGNEE P. YUNGIN EXORCISES DEMONS IN NEW SINGLE & VIDEO “RED STEPS”

Directed by Rich Porter, the “Red Steps” video finds P. Yungin in his element. The 16-year-old lights up a blunt and lets his truth flow as effortlessly as billowing smoke. Through passionately spit bars, he lends voice to the sacrifices made for people who have claimed to love him but had ulterior motives. “Way before this s—t, I was tryin’ to catch a kill,” he raps melodically over mid-tempo instrumentals. “Then I had signed a deal / Then this s—t, it got so real.”

JAH WOBBLE Revisits Old Stomping Ground On New Studio Album METAL BOX – REBUILT IN DUB!

Public Image Ltd.’s second album, the 1979 masterpiece Metal Box (later re-released as Second Edition), was a lightning rod to the music world in more ways than one. The first pressing of the album was sold in an unadorned, round metal tin (hence, the album title) containing three 45 RPM 12″ vinyl. The packaging signaled the intention – this was a band whose artistic aesthetic would not be forced to conform to the traditional commodification of commercialized music. As a result, the album became a hugely influential, landmark release in post-punk surpassing even the band’s incredible debut album. Now, one of the key co-creators of that album, and co-founder of PiL alongside former Sex Pistol John Lydon, has returned to Metal Box, completely reinventing 8 of the album’s songs with sophisticated dub interpretations and mind-blowing production! Wobble is, of course, no stranger to dub rhythms, having drawn influence from both reggae and world music throughout his spectacular 40+ year career. But Metal Box – Rebuilt In Dub seems to have truly caused Wobble to dig deep and bring out his absolute creative best. Speaking of the album, he declares “It’s as mesmerizing as the original, but with a deeper broader scope. I put my heart and soul into this.”

Baltimore-raised, Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist, artist and producer, Baird, today shares his latest single, “Easy on Them Turns,” via EQT Recordings (Masego, Smino, Berhana, JPEGMAFIA). On the cautiously life-affirming new track (inspired by a bike crash the one day it rains in LA), Baird continues to blur the boundaries of genre, stitching together inspirations pieced from all aspects of everyday life, with a backbone of acoustic guitar chords, a swirling, shape-shifting beat, slyly infectious refrain, cut-and-paste samples and headphones-required layers of texture and instrumental choices.

BEANZ DROPS LATEST SONG AND VISUAL “WAKE ME UP WHEN I’M DREAMING”
