SAM AUSTINS FEELS HIMSELF “DRIFTING AWAY”
Another stop on the HOMELESS STAR journey, Sam Austins arrives today with “DRIFTING AWAY.” The track seamlessly nestles into Austins’ world – a world inspired by the fusion of energies from nineties alternative with the R&B melodies of Frank Ocean, the aspirational aesthetics of high fashion with the authentic storytelling of Detroit culture. It comes quickly after “JOY FOR YOUTH,” a sonic time capsule that nostalgically captures the rebellion, bravery and bliss of adolescence alongside Sir Chloe. Due in October via Atlantic Records, Austins’ debut project HOMELESS STAR is a genre-defying coming-of-age album telling the story of a young man finding his place in a world he’s never fit.

Get Loose marks a complete metamorphosis from Molly’s Americana and psychedelic origins, to her new no-holes-barred sound, underpinned by her hunger to create music that incites real emotion, an all important endeavor in the wake of the pandemic, and the social upheaval experience over the last two years.
Doodie Lo aka “Mr. Kankakee” Lets Out Aggression in “Nowhere” Video
Specializing in hard-nosed rhymes delivered with a pleasant rasp, Doodie Lo is a good bet to be the next tough-talking midwest rapper to hit it big. Proving that he’s not one to be messed with, the Only The Family rapper shares “Nowhere,” his new video. Running roughshod over a beat from ATL Jacob, Doodie Lo takes aim at all steppers, warning Instagram haters that they better not take their crazy talk outside: “N***** only gangsters when they get on live/When we get your lo’-lo’, boy, you gon’ die.” In the video, Doodie Lo collects his OTF brethren, mobbing in numbers and gleefully ignoring the “no loitering” signs in front of the neighborhood stores. “Nowhere” is a highlight track from Big Doodie Lo, the artist’s debut full-length, and follows the video for his hometown anthem “Mr. Kankakee.”

James Taylor Meets Bon Iver – Tiny Aquatic Dancer New Visuals
Seth Glier’s new album The Coronation is an invitation to forge a new, more beautiful world out of the current chaos. “For most of my adult life, I’ve held the belief that humanity is right around the corner from something transformative,” Seth explains. “If we could only see that our separateness is an illusion, then a future of global cooperation and interdependence would be undeniable. As the coronavirus locked down the world, I watched this long-held belief inside of me becoming a reality right before my eyes. The dolphins returned to the Venice canals, and millions of children saw the stars for the first time. I wanted this album to feel like a roadmap towards reunion in a reconnected and repairing world.”

DJ Gutta Butta, Slimmy B and BandGang Lonnie Bands Further the Bay Area-Detroit Connection on “No Passes”
Two of the most vibrant scenes in rap today, Detroit and the Bay Area have always shared an underdog’s mentality, a hustler’s heart, and love for hyperactive instrumentals. Furthering the ages old connection between the two regions–one that once sparked E-40 to call Detroit and the Bay “cousins”– Vallejo’s DJ Gutta Butta and Slimmy B share the video for “No Passes,” featuring 6 Mile’s BandGang Lonnie Bands. Blessed with an off-kilter piano instrumental that melds the sounds of the D and the Bay, complementing energetic piano arpeggios with sonorous steel drums, “No Passes” is a no-hook flex fest, both emcees applying their signature styles as they discuss their VIP status in the streets: “Damn, 300 bands feel good, don’t it?” asks Slimmy, while Lonnie brags about being “independent with 100 million streams.” In the video, both rappers and DJ Gutta Butta connect in the cut, as they roast blunts and count cash in a neighborhood body shop. “No Passes” is the latest video from All Net, the new collaborative EP by DJ Gutta Butta and Slimmy B.

Electric Blue Yonder – ‘Mourning Sounds’ – OUT NOW!
The origination of Electric Blue Yonder is in the harmonies of Beth Hataway and Johnny Veres. The two Montgomery Alabama natives met during the summer of 2010. Beth was headed out of her home town, and Johnny had returned to make a difference. He embarked on a quest to show her the heart & soul of the city before she left, and they quickly became friends along the way. Only three weeks before her departure, Johnny realized he loved her so he told her, and they kept in touch even though it felt like they were galaxies away. The distance in their early relationship sparked their interest in travel and living life in an experiential way. They were married in 2015, and together they work to make the world around them just a little bit better, cultivating an arts and music scene in their hometown while still honing their own crafts.
