Don’t miss the new video for cumgirl8’s “Pluck Me” off their upcoming EP, RIPcumgirl8, that’s out October 22nd on DERO Arcade.
Something seismic shifted when bassist Lida Fox, guitarist Veronika Vilim, and drummer Chase joined forces, and their rehearsals quickly morphed into an expansive creative cosmos. Thrilled by the limitless possibilities fostered by the internet-as-metaphor, they named their punk-adventurist trio cumgirl8. Vilim explains the project’s world-built backstory matter-of-factly: “cumgirl8 is a universe through the computer. It’s a happy place that takes you away from reality, and brings you to one that is colorful, accepting and beautiful!” Evocative of AIM handles of yore, the moniker is a simultaneous wink to the freedom granted by online anonymity, and a cheer for the sex-positive, sex worker-supportive possibilities of the web at its most utopian. With tight layers of boundary-obliterating guitars, time-bending rhythms, and daring explorations in storytelling, cumgirl8 continues to vividly reinvent itself in myriad mediums, always with a focus on community, expression and growth.
Nightshifts & The Game // New Single
Nightshifts is the recording project of Toronto based songwriter Andrew Oliver. He works his magic across vintage synths, groovy guitars and drum machines during late-night recording sessions to create soulful and cosmic pop tunes. Nightshifts delivers slow-building progressions of phased synthesizers and delay-coated guitars to create powerful atmospheres that feel close-at-home. The project is both exciting and complex with a fast-growing reputation for kaleidoscopic production and soulful songwriting. His music carries an underlying theme of imbalance and the challenge to stay present, with the musician confiding, “I very often get caught up thinking about past situations, and looking towards future ones. I write a lot about this imbalance. And ironically, the times I feel most in the moment are when I’m working on music.” Aiming to create music to teleport you to paradise, even if it’s just for three minutes, Nightshifts creates a space to both boogie and feel introspective, whilst learning and feeling something new with each and every turn.

“One day Matthew and I were going on a leisurely drive in the countryside and suddenly spotted this downed plane in the middle of a field. I wasn’t sure if it had just crashed, or if it had been there for some time. From the looks of it, it appeared as though it had just dropped out of the sky.

Crumbly’s 2020 debut album Rise was met with praise from Hypebeast, Indieshuffle, Jazziz, WBGO, Earmilk, No Treble, Exclaim!, Glide, Ones to Watch, and The FADER, who said Rise featured “explosions of synths mixed with a driving drum pattern that has the dusty texture of a jazz lounge.” Though centred around the bass guitar, ForEver uses additional instrumentation with subtlety and grace.
Artist: Brennan Haug – Track: Times Are Tough
Times Are Tough is a song about maybe not having a ton of money, or cars, or a big mansion; but none the less enjoying life to the fullest because, in reality, you have everything you need. A vintage southern rock sound embodied with catchy lyrics and modern melodies “Times Are Tough” embodies the simple pleasures in life.
AC/DC TAKE YOU “THROUGH THE MISTS OF TIME”
The video is a rock and roll museum tour through an exhibition of the band’s incredible history. Based on a concept by Angus Young, Director Najeeb Tarazi and creative director Josh Cheuse used footage shot by Clemens Habicht of each of the 5 band members in 5 separate shoots around the world. They then enlisted Mathematic, a Paris based visual effects studio, to combine all the elements so the band could take the stage together to perform the fan favorite from POWER UP, almost one year to the day that the highly-anticipated album was announced.
Atlanta’s Yung Mal melodically bares his soul in new single “One Night”
Atlanta’s Yung Mal is known for his nimble flexes, but he’s equally capable of tugging at the heartstrings. Yung Mal’s “One Night” that just dropped is one of those latter tracks, and it makes me bump my head even as I empathize with the somber emotions behind Mal’s lyrics. Backed by low-hitting 808’s and a piano key beat, Yung Mal’s raspy melodic voice floats perfectly on top of it all; spitting lyrics taken straight from his heart like, “I love my son, he’s just getting older, I’d go to hell and back for my daughter” and recounting, “So many nights my momma cried.”

Ben Abraham Releases “I Am Here” | Featured in Tonight’s S18 Premiere of Grey’s Anatomy
Of the track, Ben shares: “I Am Here” is a celebration of being alive. Each verse charts the evolution of things we ask for from the day we are born to the day we die. It’s unique on the album in that it’s not dealing with personal experiences so much as it is a treatise on existence. One of the early songs written for the record, the bridge ‘let me be angry and wrong in my youth, let me find fire in searching for truth’ became a manifesto for the album.

Hard rock band ARTIFAS released the official music video for their new single “LEAVE ME FOR DEAD”! The single is from their forthcoming album titled Reflections due out November 19, 2021.
“Leave Me For Dead is a song about abandonment and the struggle to overcome the emotions associated with it. We’ve all had that person in our lives that we trusted, just to find out that they would leave us for dead when things got tough. This song is about just being in disbelief over something like that and the internal battle that follows when you’re left in doubt…” says the band.
FVZ Drops New Track “Roller Coaster”
FVZ’s upbeat new single, “Roller Coaster,” features Raechell Tamaryn and was inspired by a sexual journey she embarked upon following a breakup.
