Perfume Reveal Their New Music Video “Polygon Wave”! Watch The ‘Midnight Drive’ Inspired Video Now
The video is directed by Yusuke Tanaka, who has worked with Perfume on past music video’s including “TimeWarp,” “Spring of Life,” “Spending all my time” and “Mirai no Museum.” Finding inspiration from the theme of “midnight drive,” the video consists of 2 scenes, virtual and real. The “virtual” scene shows Perfume’s dance and vocal performance surrounded by black pyramids with pattern of wire frames similar to their outfits. The “real” scene is the streets of Tokyo at night time, as the trio drives through the city. The video switches seamlessly between these 2 worlds, linking the virtual to real. Towards the end of the video, as each member of Perfume disappear from the car, you realize that the “real” driving scene was also “virtual…” Make sure to check out Kashiyuka’s driving technique as she actually drove the car for the video shoot.
Alternative Multi-Media Artist Peter Lake Releases New Single and Music Video “Whistle”
NYC-based alternative, multi-media artist Peter Lake announces the upcoming release of his new song trilogy, entitled Red, out on October 8th. Following the successful release of his Yellow EP, which garnered over 1 million Spotify streams and 97,000 YouTube views, Red consists of three songs by the artist about love. To introduce the EP release, Lake releases his music video, “Whistle,” choreographed by Matthew Pasterisa (Kanye West, Azealia Banks) and filmed by Christopher Soto.
