Sweets & Luke Royalty release new track ‘Toy Story’

Following their critically acclaimed recent releases, Luke Royalty’s ‘Stay Gold’ and ‘I Do’ and Sweets’ ‘I’m Not Coming Home’ and ‘Yellow’, the Unlikely Lads release their first collaboration since the classic ‘I Could Get Used To This’ – ‘Toy Story’. The track was also played by Jack Saunders yesterday! The Lathums announce 2022 Blackpool Empress Ballroom show.

Fast-rising, poetic indie four piece The Lathums have announced news of a very special one-off show at the iconic Blackpool’s Empress Ballroom, taking place on Sat 9 April 2022. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Fri 10 September 2021, available HERE.

The show is poised to be a seaside celebration of the band’s progress over the past two years, seeing them perform much-loved songs of youthful hope, including I’ll Get By (featuring the famous coastal town in its colourful promo video) and How Beautiful Life Can Be, plus soon-to-be-fan-favourites from their long-awaited, imminent album. The choice of venue is no accident for the North West band, with the elegant, 125-year-old venue hosting legendary Oasis and Stone Roses shows, amongst many others, over the last four decades.

DAHLIA SLEEPS announce debut album ‘Overflow’, release new single “Too Good To Hide”

London based duo Dahlia Sleeps today announce their long-awaited debut album, Overflow. Two years in the making and almost 6 years since their debut single, producer/writer Luke Hester and singer/writer Lucy Hill will release Overflow in two parts – the first of which will be out on October 19th, with the B-side to follow early in 2022.

Accompanying the album announcement is new single “Too Good To Hide”. The track unfurls beautifully; partnering smoky atmospherics and soaring guitars with rich live percussion and a haunting string section, “Too Good To Hide” dissects how mental ill-health can hold us back and keep us repeating the same painful patterns, as the song builds elegantly towards its stunning crescendo.

During a decade of touring with Crystal Fighters, Eleanor K was a big part of their inclusive, celebratory sound as they rose from a warehouse in east London to playing some of the world’s biggest festivals and arenas. Marko Nyberg of Husky Rescue introduces solo project with ‘Ingrid’ single

Husky Rescue founder Marko Nyberg’s stunning new solo project is born out of the profoundly life changing experiences of a near death experience, and the loss of a father. Drawing further inspiration from the art of Hilma af Klint, a pioneer of abstract artist, the upcoming body of work explores the boundaries between genres, sounds and artforms. Combining neoclassical with techno, the music embodies a secret knowledge of geometrical forms and post-apocalyptic buzzes, all wrapped in the beauty conjured up through the use of a live string ensemble. Nyberg’s new project will be multidisciplinary, tapping into contemporary dance and abstract video art, with a series of videos and short films to be delivered alongside the music.

Inspired by the first and final stop of the band’s sold-out ‘Truth or Consequences’ (third LP) US tour in March 2020, guitarist/vocalist Josh Burgess explained:

“Before we went on stage for the only show we would play on our sold-out 2020 US tour, we held each other tight, and fighting back the tears, someone said ‘let’s give it hell tonight’. The next day, ‘Truth Or Consequences’ was released. We drove to New York, took some photos, and dispersed back to our homes in the US, UK, and New Zealand. We haven’t been in the same room since.

New Zealand’s Yumi Zouma return with “Give It Hell”; new song out today

New Zealand’s alternative pop quartet Yumi Zouma shares their brand new single “Give It Hell,” mixed by Ash Workman (Christine & The Queens, Metronomy) and mastered by Antoine “Chab” Chabert (Air, Daft Punk). The song is accompanied by a lyric video and comes with the announcement of the band’s tour that starts March 17 in Birmingham, UK, and makes their way across Europe, ending in Warsaw, Poland on April 4.
