M Field releases self-titled debut EP & shares 5th single (Leafy Outlook)

“The verse of Ten is a Number began as a voice note that was half-forgotten, returned to and developed as a pitch for a movie. It was not chosen, but I liked it and so I added a chorus to it. When I wrote the chorus I felt like it perfectly embodied the way life felt at the time, which is a rare thing I think. I had met some new people and felt a kind of sheltered youthful optimism I hadn’t felt for a while,” Field explains.

Jane Honor Drops Emotional Single “Sunset To London”

“Sunset To London” is a magisterial example of storytelling through music. A soft, heartwarming acoustic melody blends in perfect harmony with Jane Honor’s silky vocals and thoughtful lyrics. The single was produced by Matty Carlock, who also co-wrote the track with Honor, and was mixed by Pete Andrews and mastered by Dan Shike. “I told Matty about a time that I dropped my whole life and ran away to London over the summer of 2019,” says Honor. “There are parts of this song that are right from my heart, and there are also details that are fictional. It was really fun to create this dramatic storyline together.” Jane Honor illustrates the inspiration of the song as “running away from everything in your life, responsibilities, and running away from a particular person.” The production of this track is one to be proud of as the candid single has listeners invested and touched by the honesty and intrigue of the song. The story of escaping to an oasis-like London for a cathartic release is one that many can relate to and only adds to the already stunning charm of the song.

Silverbacks Share “Wear My Medals” / Announce signing to Full Time Hobby

“From the very start, we’ve always wanted to be a ‘career band’. We don’t see the point in not constantly making music – if you’re lucky enough to be able to make music you like and enjoy it, why put restrictions on it?” says Kilian O’Kelly, one of the three guitarists in Silverbacks. His brother Daniel, who takes care of vocals and another of the guitars, nods in agreement. After the release and acclaim provided to their debut record Fad in 2020, it would have been understandable for the band to take a step back and take stock of their achievements thus far. Not so – writing sessions began early in 2020 for what they hope to be the follow-up, with Dan sending files back and forth from his new base in Paris while the others – Kilian, bassist and vocalist Emma Hanlon, guitarist Peadar Kearney and drummer Gary Wickham – remained in Ireland. They spent their downtime from live commitments refining and shaping their ideas, taking to the studio when they could with producer Daniel Fox (Girl Band) to try and push themselves and their music forward.
